  3. It definitely appears that if you're not in the 97th to 99th percentiles of natural talent (Rivera, Lovett, Hidlay, Lewis come to mind) the cutting weight thing really matters. It takes extra strength to offset any deficiencies most definitely at the highest level. I know some don't agree cutting weight is a good thing but I think it's the difference maker around the margins.
  4. I'm a fan of Harrison. I did not think Cormier did a good job- he also seems to be enjoying not cutting the weight, looking round haha
  5. He was so good at 133
  6. Big 10 Hardy vs Woods 141 finals Big 12 Poulin vs Surtin 125 finals Big 10 Zack Braunagel matches are exciting he really works to the wire 197 big 10 McKee Barnett is always great 125
  7. Fix will not be the natty champ (see what I did there ) over under on Lewan matches 2.5
  8. Foley self destructed his entire career after earning All American. To think in 2018 he lost to Tomasello and Darian Cruz 7-4, in 2019 lost to Piccinnini 4-1, beat Cronin, McGee, Kaylor, Piotrowski, and Bresser. This year he lost to Dustin Norris and Josh Kyle by fall. "Who" is the right question.
  9. 125 Ungar, Surtin 133 Ragusin, Orine 149 Paniro Johnson 174 Edmund Ruth 197 Bastida, Hoffman, Braunagel
  10. Cronin has been wrastlin like a beast. He's so low to the ground and has stingy defense. He has surprised me multiple times this season.
  11. Orine looks nasty. Kaylor over Courtney at 125 by tiebreaker; he was 0-3 against him. Nagao over Byrd and Mendez! Ragusin over Cannon and Mendez. Cannon over Mendez. Big 10 at 133 and 125 is stacked! Chumbley over Coleman, Siebrecht. Paniro Johnson over Mauller Hillger over Davison
  12. Those two have great pinning, near fall and ride out potential every match. They can really tear up the back side of any bracket making them consistent threats to All American. And now it appears they’re stepping up their neutral game. I’d like to see em wrestle Courtney and Glory
  13. McKee Barnett match was fire. Those two are legit All Americans at 125
  14. Wow people have not been talking about him. Beating Andonian?! The man is back. Didn't he All American at a new weight last year while injured ? How many people can say that? Not evern Spencer Lee...
  15. He looks a lot better this year. He is attacking more proactively. He has good offense when he can get on it. He just slumps offensively way too often for me to know. Honestly him or Phillipi will AA this year. One will decide to wait til the third to score and not
  16. Returns are difficult to predict. You want to own some fixed income at these yields because getting 4-5% in bonds is decent growth AND with yield this high it will pressure stock earnings. I’m thinking my diversified hedges will return between -2 and 7%. I expect stocks to return between -6 and 10. So I guess my returns will be between -3 and +8 for the year. Again, besides the bond expectations I really don’t think it makes sense to try and time being in and out of stocks very often. Time in the market tends to beat timing the market. I wouldn’t be surprised if stocks make -15 or +15 this year. Stocks are so hard to predict. I save enough where I’m content to lower my loss potential some since I know I will be contributing a lot of money and I don’t like to lose money.
  17. This month I added to my stable of what I call my castle’s defense. These are funds that I expect to make some money and keep compounding wealth but more importantly avoid the harsh 40% crashes that seem to happen way too often this century. Here is the list. I would advocate putting 2% in each and watching them compound : VWELX VWINX BALFX DIAMX SPEDX FPACX PPSAX FKUQX MENYX DIVPX ENHRX BAMBX BALPX SGENX To these add 25% of some DODIX and PIMIX for bonds Then sit around 50% in diversified stocks and stop the stock picking. I also did stock picking successfully during pandemic and it’s way competitive again and I’m trying to buy back into funds every time I sell a stock. I’ve also been buying some 3-4 years cd’s and the etf SPIB which offers excellent yielding investment grade corporate bonds. I’m 41 and at 975k net worth now. I’m around 67% real estate and the rest mostly tax deferred or tax free investments. I’d like to retire around age 55
  18. Drop Noto to 13 Raise Deaug to 9 Drop Heinseman to 11 raise Kaylor to 10 Raise Cronin to 6 Raise Barnett to 7 drop Courtney to 8 raise Ungar to 14 drop Cardinale to 12 i don’t like the 125 rankings at all haha, wrestlestat could do better
  19. Is this the year Cronin finally gets to the Round of 12? Is this the return of the Big 10 125 # conference tourney where nobody on earth can predict places 1 to 6?!
  20. look at the great calendar created by ncaa with wrong days. growing the sport https://www.ncaa.com/championships/wrestling/d1/daily-schedule
  21. Agree on 157. Sorta agree on 141. Disagree on 125. 125 is top light but has 8 former AA sprinkled throughout and many guys that should challenge to AA. Light on top yes.
