  1. Taylor can be competitive in multiple areas of his life; he doesn't need to be a college coach. He is already an owner of multiple businesses and coaches one of the top clubs in the US. I'm sure he is more than capable of being "extremely competitive" as an entrepreneur and club coach.
  2. Heaven forbid we have talented guys go into Greco! I'm sure none of these Europeans or Asians who medal are talented in the least! We also had multiple medal threats on a regular basis. It wasn't just one year when a few guys medaled. Now, we are lucky to wrestle for just one senior medal.
  3. They likely don't want greater attendance from the US, and my tinfoil hat is also telling me that (because of recent US success) the deck may be even more stacked against us in coming years.
  4. including wrestling.
  5. And was putting a tremendous amount of energy into coaching.
  6. Well, there were suggestions on the other board for him to take up parkour to become more agile.
  7. Part of the problem is they are both currently about the same size, but one has to go 197 and the other 285. Maybe Warner lost a coin flip or something.
  8. Want a high seed? Be active. Go to rankings tourneys. It certainly helped guys like Rivera. I know it is sacrilege in some circles to suggest this, but I think Nick Lee may have found some more success with Rivera's draw. Should have hit some tourneys, Rivera did. It was a bit messed up this year, because the Russians who may have wanted to attend Euros, ranking series events, or 2022 Worlds, were barred from doing so.
  9. Good idea, but I think there are some pretty tough hombres in the Swiss Guard.
  10. He was also likely about to be laced and teched by Ringer this year if he didn't scream.
  11. He was FAR from beating the Ringer last time out, though.
  12. Heavyweight in the US is legit.
  13. Top tier athletes would certainly help! And now there are grumblings that Schultz is very upset about the direction of our Greco program and could switch to freestyle! Not sure how serious this is, but I definitely heard the grumbles!
  14. He HAS beaten Nolf, but pretty sure that was at 79 kg, so a major difference. Plus, I think Nolf was sad in that match.
  15. Did they?
  16. Nope, but some have said he seemed to do better in freestyle when he was in college!
  17. U23 Bronze Starocci=/=Taz Sorry.
  18. I'm not saying that he is definitively on PEDs, but this is what they often say when guys test positive. Not to speak ill of the dead, but if you were to look at the old board, there were plenty of posts that Kudhukov (and before him Leipold) were just great technicians and didn't rely on strength to win... just great technique. Guess what? Technique is a lot easier to hit and looks a lot smoother when you are juiced to the gills.
  19. Taz or Micic?
  20. Oops, indeed! Sorry Engineers!
  21. Maybe hold your nitpicking for another thread. PSU of today would look a lot different if not for the efforts of Coach Koll and those he coached/mentored. (Rich Lorenzo/Ira Fleckman). Maybe call him the "father of 'modern' PSU wrestling. Clown.
  22. Wasn't he 138 in high school?
  23. I think Vito was,too.
