  1. The only reason I would think he might not make the trip is if he is pitch counting because of him trying to keep his weight down and close to 57 KG. I don't think Orine is one of the guys he needs to avoid, though, and might want to get a match in against him.
  2. JB already hit the nail on the head but I am going to add to it... Every single time I have gone to any major tournament, domestic or international, for myself, family, friends, etc... we don't only go over to wrestle. That is the reason we are there, yes... we also go to experience the culture. I have made connections worldwide I never would have had I not traveled overseas - both personal and professional - that I still have today. Thinking that the experience is just one match when you go 0-1 is truly very ignorant and shows that you have neither been a part of a national team, traveled overseas specifically for wrestling, or that you even know anybody that meets either of those criteria. Stay in your lane.
  3. If Gregor D is back and healthy, the loser of him and Ungar might be the backup at 125/133? I am ignorant here so I must defer to @BigRedFan.
  4. I can't imagine it would be any easier for him to go 174 as it would Lewis, if Lewis were going up. That said... what other option(s) would VTech have? 157/165/174 would be some amalgamation of Andonion, Ulry, and Brady. I am okay with that... they would need time, though. Ulry then Andonian then Brady would be my guess at best option (157/165/174) were that the case. EDIT: I like Andonian at 165 because that makes 74 KG an option for him in Freestyle. That said... 157lbs is 71.2 KG... if he were to try for Greco glory, he would need to go 67 KG or 77 KG. 165lbs is 74.8 KG so... maybe? Anyone giving him a chance against Bey/Perkins/etc?
  5. I think Shapiro dismantles Scott, to be honest. Loew, I can see. Loew balled out at one tournament two seasons ago and took some losses, albeit while injured, last season that drop his Rating down. Keep in mind that is a capital R there for Rating. These are purely off results and don't factor in injuries, poor weight cuts, or developmental leaps.
  6. Initial Wrestlestat Projections: Cornell over Iowa State 21-13 https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/dual/20/cornell/35/iowa-state Cornell over Ohio State 24-9 https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/dual/20/cornell/55/ohio-state Cornell over Virginia Tech 16-15 https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/dual/20/cornell/74/virginia-tech Cornell over Missouri 17-15 https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/dual/20/cornell/43/missouri NC State over Cornell 21-11 https://www.wrestlestat.com/compare/dual/20/cornell/47/nc-state
  7. Not sure how I glazed over the Collegiate Duals on December 18th, which will at least have them facing Iowa State, Little Rock, and Pittsburgh.
  8. Flo had a decent article on it... https://www.flowrestling.org/articles/11283451-cornell-wrestling-schedule-2023-2024-what-to-know
  9. Greetings All, Cornell has scheduled some dogfights for this year's dual slate. - tOSU on January 5th - VTech on January 7th - Mizzou on January 28th - NC State on February 17th This isn't including their EIWA or tournament schedules either. - Journeman Collegiate Classic on November 12th (Penn State, Lock Haven, Purdue) - Mat Town Open on November 26th (Lock Haven again?) - Cliff Keen on December 1st (Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Michigan, South Dakota State, Oregon State, Iowa State, Ohio State, Oklahoma State... many more). 10. Imagine if we get Gomez at 149 as well as if Bullock (or Walker or Walters) pulls in points at 197. Yeeeah boi!
  11. I already complained to Bobo about it not ordering chronologically.
  12. I would take the over, if asked, on this one. Then when looking at it deeper... I could totally buy ~30 points and see each gent placing around where they are pre-season ranked. Some could over, some could under...
  13. Would it be too much of me to ask if you could post it in the 2023-2024 area, WKn?
  14. If I am Arujau... do I throw my hat in the ring for the 65 KG chance on the off-chance that he has to wrestle Zain first, to wear him out for Johnny D in R2?
  15. Pan Ams. Top two go from there, so we typically want to be opposite side as Cuba. For the right to get the chance to be our OG qualifier for those games any medalist from adjacent weights and in this cycle can 'challenge' for the right to be the guy. For 57 KG, for example, Gilman, Fix, and Arujau can challenge Richards. For 65 KG, Johnny D or Zain Retherford can challenge. Arujau and Fix can also technically challenge Lee as well. Whoever wins what would end up being a 'mini tournament' would then earn the right to wrestle at Pan Ams.
  16. He has wrestled a total of ten matches at 125, though... like four years ago...
  17. This is what they released yesterday on Twitter for the B1G schedule alone...
  18. He did bump to HWT last season at least once with success and Dresser said in an interview a few months ago he was 235 and still lean before even adding extra weight.
  19. I am surprised Chumbley and Mayfield are staying 157/165. I expected one ti head to 149 and the other to occupy 157. Northwestern has a decent Frosh there in Joe Martin for 165.
  20. your speshul member tag. Seems fitting.
  21. Pathetic.gif Last word.
  22. Any of you gents read 100 Years of Solitude? A great read. It's base involves a lot of corruption in and around the Great Banananana Massacre of 1928 (A real thing).
  23. Adulation =/= pity, by definition. FYI. J/s. Completely different words. Google it. Pity is the word you are looking for. I don't see an 'A' word for pity in the thesaurus either. So not sure what you're going at there.
  24. Hey now, hey now, hear what I say now Happiness is just around the corner Hey now, hey now, hear what I say now I'll. Be. There. For. You! Last word.
