  1. I still have the Gmail addresses for those who took part last year. I believe I sent login info (email & initial password) to everyone via PM on the old forum. I can send Gmail addresses to everyone again, but I didn't keep a record of the initial passwords. Entry fee last year was $20 via Venmo. I'll leave it to Vak to set rates and guidelines for this year's event. I suggest folks pay Vak & send me their Gmail address. I'll add give them access to the doc for the draft. If you need help setting up a Gmail account, PM me and I'll create one & return PM you the login info. Once Vak has the final list of participants, I can set everything up for the draft & I can track/publish results after each session.
  2. Just managed to find my session-by-session tracking files. We had nine participants. I still have the source file used for the draft in my Google Docs.
  3. I took part and built the Google Doc to conduct the draft. Recall that I created gmail logins for everyone. As an example Val’s gmail account was vak.ncaa@gmail.com. I can set it up again once the field is set. I’ll need to dig through history to recreate. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. No brackets. Best I can find is a press release with results from the finals... Lebe, Brenner Claim Titles at WVU Open By Scott Castleman WVU Sports Information Office November 12, 2005 MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - The West Virginia University wrestling team’s Matt Lebe and Kurt Brenner bagged individual titles at the 24th annual WVU Open on Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Shell Building, while three others finished as runners-up. Lebe (157 pounds), a Jeannette, Pa., native, won his third WVU Open championship by knocking off Old Dominion’s Chris Brown, 6-4, in the finals. Brenner (174), a Freedom, Pa., native, won his first championship at the tournament when he downed his teammate Chance Litton, 3-2, in the finals. Besides Litton, Mountaineers Kyle Turnbull (125) and Brandon Rader (141) also made the finals before taking a loss. Turnbull, a Morgantown, W.Va., native, chose not to compete in the finals after suffering a slight injury earlier in the tournament, taking the medical forfeit. Rader, a Parkersburg, W.Va., native, fell to Virginia Tech’s Dave Hoffman, 7-5, in the finals. Virginia Tech wrestlers claimed most individual titles as Justin Staylor (125), Dave Hoffman (141) and Steve Borja (184). Also winning championships were Josh Keefe (133), Lehigh’s Trevor Chinn (149), Cornell’s Steve Anceravage (165) and Maryland’s Hudson Taylor (197). The Mountaineers next competition comes on Saturday, Nov. 19, when the team heads to Annapolis, Md., to participate in the Navy Classic. 5. Colin Kilrain (NQ-3-3-3) for sure. You're probably referring to Mike Brown (5-3-2-7) as the other. An argument could be made for 5x EIWA champ Jordan Wood, but he was never really a title contender.
  6. Streebler had two strikes against him from a PA fan’s perspective: his first “title” had already screwed a highly respected PA product (JO) out of becoming a 3x champ; as a Senior, he posed one of the biggest threats (along w Mitchell Port) to Zain’s title chase. 7. Nope, but the same number of team points. Superior decisions (12 point differential) score 5 team points. Team scoring at that time also gave each team 2 points for a draw.
  8. Nebraska has always included Burroughs losses the year he took a medical. I've posted this several times on the old board when reminding folks that Streebler took the semi-slide in Vegas during his first freshman season. https://huskers.com/sports/wrestling/roster/jordan-burroughs/5990 tOSU changed their reporting methodology sometime during Streebler's final season. His roster bio included the CKLV losses, but their current media guides do not. https://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/m-wrestl/roster/season/2014-15/logan-stieber/
  9. They update the records on the brackets as the tournament progresses. The record you see is their final record. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    BOOM!

Quick? I suggested it on Saturday. Glad to see it was added.
  12. Here’s one you would have never seen on TheMat.. “Police/Crime Report” Many posts, many deletions/locks/blocks.
  13. @Husker_Du I’d recommend moving Legends to the first tier, rather than placing it under the College board. Key example being the initial Dave Schultz thread. Most “Legend” posts cover the careers and stories through all three levels of competition (HS, Collegiate, International).
  14. Is there an interest in a place to post sig bets or betting lines/odds? “Prognosticators” or “Prognostication”
  15. A separate board for MMA seems to be the best place to follow former wrestlers who’ve made the transition to the octagon.
  16. The “Legends” topic on the College board was an interesting read. Perhaps a similar separate board for nostalgia?
  17. And so it begins…
  18. Agree. HS board activity really dropped off on the “old” board. Not sure why.
  19. Good to know. Thanks again for all you’ve done, Senator.
  20. How do we go about linking this board to Tapatalk?
  21. Glad to see this set this up. Hope it gets some traction.
