  1. I think he was moving it from an area of North Carolina known as Meth mountain , either way he moved cross country and is coached by and around his brother all the time and it seems to be working out well for him and Illinois
  2. You are correct , he had a felony warrant out of NC for something meth related when he got arrested in PA ,my bad I had a few details off
  3. He was kicked out of Lehigh a few years ago because he was arrested for trafficking larges amount of meth from NC to PA and also had other drugs in the car and pretty sure he was stoned himself lol I’m glad he looks out for the kids and all but let’s slow down the nice guy talk
  4. Also will add that South Dakota state has 2 finalists while West Virginia ,Wyoming , North Dakota State and Air Force all have 1
  5. Some notable results 125- Volk over Surtan, Spratley in OT over terukina on a fleeing the mat or Stall in OT terukina then threw his headgear losing a team point 141- Echemendia looks great dominates Titus in the semis 14-4 Happel last second TD knocks of Jamison 149- True freshman Ty Watters bonuses his way to the finals including a tech in the semis..Jordan Williams barely survives Swiderski 157- Chittum knocks off the 8 seed hill who upset Zerban (who beat Levi Haines last year) 165- Otoole dominates Olejnik, Carr cruises past Hall 174-7 seed Sax from NDSU knocks off the 2 and 3 seeds to set up the battle of the Dakotas in the finals Vs Devos 184-Keck and Plott crushing everyone on the way to finals 197- Elam controls Buchanan , Sloan unchallenged on the other side 285- Hendrickson and Bastida crush everyone in their path Semis are finished , wrestlebacks still going on Iowa state currently in 1st with 119.0 (5 finalists ), Ok State 2nd- 100.5 (4 Finalists), Missouri 3rd with 85.5 (2 finalists) , Northern Iowa 4th with 80.5 (3 Finalists)
  6. Buchanan got his takedown with 1 second left , Elam controlled the entire match
  7. A torn knee isn’t a broken ankle , we ve seen plenty of guys win with tore up knees , Yianni, Spencer, Nolf all recently , I’ve yet to see a guy even AA on a broken ankle
  8. Lucas Cochran or possibly Robbie Howard as well , I think with the upper weights a few of them need matches for RPI but I could see the entire bottom half get a break
  9. Idk if Carter should count as VA, he was born and raised in NJ, his father was a well known coach here, his brother Brandon went to atleast 9th grade in NJ maybe 10th too and he didn’t go down to VA til the start of high school , pretty much the same path Cody Gardner took
  10. Nolf tore his MCL his junior year , if that doesn’t happen I’m pretty confident he would’ve got his hodge that season ..I consider Nolfs junior year the most impressive ncaa tournament Ive seen, he had one leg and completely changed his style and just started crushing people from top instead of on his feet .. he beat Kem, Micah Jordan and Hidley in a row at ncaas , all of them 4x AAs and Ncaa finliasts ..Nolf bonus rates were 88.89 his freshman year , then 92.59, 80 % his junior year ( was around 95% before torn mcl, only non bonus win was 6-4 over pantleo), and 87% his sr year ( only 3 non bonus wins, Pantleo 2x and The Hidley match everyone likes to bring up) only 2 true Ls in his entire career both as a freshman , also the first person to beat Imar just when people were thinking Imar was going to be an undefeated 4xer , 16-0 vs guys who were/ended up ncaa finalists with 9 bonus wins …probably the best guy to never win the hodge , definitely in my lifetime
  11. This seems to be an old list or I’m just misinterpreting it but atleast 10 ncaa champs from NJ aren’t on the list
  12. He should’ve won it his sophomore year , he had a better year then Zain but they almost had to give it to Zain bc they gave it to ringer the year before when it was clearly Zain who should won it
  13. Didn’t seem like a what If guy when he took me down 7-8 times in one match
  14. Just pointing out they’ve been the best team for 11 plus years and for the last half decade they haven’t won a hodge , and it’s crazy that a guy as winning and dominate as Jason Nolf never won one
  15. Penn state hasn’t won a hodge in like 5 years
  16. He mentioned that NIL had nothing to do with it and that before his senior yr his only D1 offer was to Cal Baptist and he felt like he owed it to them to give them a year for believing in him first
  17. It’s a big ten requirement to have review and Penn state obviously has a review system but the system went down while they were testing it shortly before the match and didn’t get it up and running til 141 at which point you aren’t allowed to use it bc it wasn’t available for all the matches
  18. Mineo is saying Starocci is the only starter sitting , Mitch Moore , Brian Soldano. And Poz are all out for Rutgers with illness
  19. After watching this Cassar documentary I’m convinced more than ever that Robert Howard will hang around the program for years then in 3-4 years is going to defeat Bo Bassett for an ncaa title in his only season as a starter
  20. Rutgers- Joey Oliveri, Joe Fongaro, Michael Toranzo, maybe Soldano? Sebastiano Nini , Nicculo Colucci Possibly the Sasso brothers?
  21. He’s been injured all year and unfortunately we won’t see at 100 percent this year
  22. Illinois has Brunagal back, Rutgers could have Soldano redshirt bc he desperately needs it and have Poz drop down to 184 for a season but idk if they want to flip flop him like that, could definitely see North Carolina as an option
