  1. He's the one seed isn't he?
  2. So half the number of points the 3 transfers (Fig, Parco and Teamer) scored this year.
  3. For what its worth, Figs tweeted this week that he isn't going anywhere. Not sure how Vasquez has been at ASU 5 years and gets hurt almost every year. I think he's finished one season. Is he even eligible for another year?
  4. Penn St actually returns more points than Nebraska scored this year. Assuming the 3 vacant sports score some points, they are still probably 2-3 guys ahead.
  5. You lose to AA's to Iowa and by the end of the year 5 projected starters were injured and not in the lineup. ASU doesn't have the depth of the top tier teams so that's hard to overcome. Ad in a subpar NCAA from Figs and it was left up to Schultz to carry things. 4/5 injured starters can return (Vasquez was the only senior I believe) ad Manville to the lineup with Figueroa, Ruiz, and Ysaquirre and if healthy it should be a better year.
  6. As much as the Devils need help in the upper weights, I'd rather suffer than have a clown like that on the team.
  7. Log in to Track wrestling and you can get the mat info
  8. Aren't Wild Cards are basically ranked guys (top 33) who didn't grab one of their conferences allotted spots>
  9. Bracket reveal is Wednesday night on NCAA.COM
  10. Any idea what's up with Yas? As a Devil fan its so frustrating not having a clue what's going on with all of the injuries (I'm assuming this year). Never any word on Yas being in and out of the lineup, Vasquez, Larkin, the 184 JC champ. Not even having a 174 entry is sad. If all that I'd mentioned had been healthy along with Parco and Teamer, it would have been another top 5 team rather than fielding a JV squad.
  11. I'm sure he would have been, but he hasn't wrestled in 3-4 weeks. I'm assuming hurt again like most past years. He'd probably have been a 4-5. I'm curious as to whether ASU will burn Manville's redshirt and wrestle him at this weight in hopes of qualifying someone.
  12. They have in prior years. A lot were also on the PAC 12 network. With the move to the Big 12, coverage for sports other than football has declined. Several matches have been on ESPN plus, but that's been it so far.

    Kaleb Larkin

Pendlelton may have built something with a RTC, but the OSU program has been in a downward spiral performance wise the past 3 years. 12th, then 29th, 23rd and this year looks worse. Munoz has been the one constant but he's had some struggles this year.
  14. Happy hour started early for someone in Nebraska.

    Kaleb Larkin

Must be some kind of family genetic issue then because Kaleb had hip surgery when he took his gap year.
  16. I think he's in no mans land. I have a feeling he's tired of cutting weight. He tried to move up to 184 last year and lost the wrestle off to Negron. Took awhile for him to work his way back down. Tried 184 again this year but I don't think he can beat the JC champion who transferred in. He's wrestled some in open tournaments and is 1-5. I've watched him for 3-4 years now. Seems like a good kid and doesn't give up but he's cursed with a bad body and limited skills.
  17. 4 starters missing this week. Zeke seems to gear up more for the end of the year. Nothing important happens in November, December. That being said, there are too many holes for them to be a top 10-15 dual team, but they probably can finish in the 7-12 range at the NCAAs
  18. They're finishes certainly don't reflect that. OSU was in a downward spiral last year. Recruiting cycles for schools that aren't in the big 3-5 are going to dictate up and down years.
  19. Trackwrestling has the results. The match is labeled Maroon and Gold. I hear the Schultz match was against a couple different opponents but only one is listed in the results.
  20. The preliminary matches yesterday were streamed on their Instagram page. I would hope that at the least the final matches tonight would be as well.
  21. So your quote is correct, but if you're gonna evaluate things, take the average since Zeke returned as coach. Or even better once his recruits started wrestling. All of the first class except Tanner Hall redshirted their freshman year.
  22. Wrestlstat has the lineup as 125 - Fig 133 - Cheblove 141 - Vasquez 149 - Ramos 157 - Larkin 165 - Ruiz 174 - Valencia 184 - Fayzullaev 197 - Acciardi 285 - Shultz 197 looks to be the only glaring weakness. 1 champ, 2 total AA's, 6 qualifiers from last year return. It will be interesting to see how Larkin fares. People forget Ruiz was a to 10 recruit who redshirted last year. I beat the PAC 12 champ in one of the matches he did wrestle. The 184 is a wild card as well Asian champ, 2 time JUCO champ. I'd say they have a shot at the top 10 if they stay healthy.
  23. He's on the roster on the schools website wrestling page. He's not going to be in the lineup so a grey shirt would make sense to save his redshirt for another time.
