  1. Interesting. When I hear "Brian Shaw" I think of the 4 time world's strongest man. A literal giant of a man and a true badass. Basketball sucks
  2. About what? The red shirt? AJ went on the clash of combat podcast and confirmed that he has an Olympic redshirt available. I suppose that's not an official announcement of intent but the fact that he has the option of preserving eligibility in the most phony bologna way is what's wrong with this system. AJ is just the most recent and egregious example of this loophole in action.
  3. Ah poop. I should have read the entire thread more closely because my point was already stated by a smarter poster
  4. A minority of posters on HR, xwitter, and reddit. Oh, and I'm guessing the chief bank roller behind HWC is probably on board with the decision
  5. He has a better chance of getting a 3 seed if he keeps his record to 1 loss, no? Olejnik is most likely going to take 1 more loss at minimum so he probably gets seeded no higher than 4. I can see the benefit of sitting Ramirez
  6. Completely concur I'm willing to bet a handful of kopeks that AJ Ferrari has no intention of qualifying for the Olympics. And yet he is using the O-shirt as a means of preserving eligibility that he burned because of his ass hat actions. It sickens me how many fans are stoked and support this decision.
  7. Slim Tone would probably struggle with Schultz but I'd still pick him comfortably over Davison. Regardless, if you think Hill is comparable to Tony in anyway, I just can't take you seriously. I would like to be as optimistic about Kennedy as you are. Not seeing it right now but that has a lot to do with the ISU meet. In the end, I still think Brands is an upgrade
  8. As usual you are letting your irrational hate for Iowa cloud your judgment (did one of their wrestlers steal your girlfriend back in the day?) Cass has beaten Davison and Schultz. He is a favorite over everyone in the weightclass except for Kerk and Wyatt. Bastida looks tough. I'm not sure how that match would go. Kennedy is undersized and is recovering from an injury. I'm not confident he AAs. Brands would.
  9. C'mon now, Cass and Brands are capable of providing more than an extra 8 points. It won't be nearly enough to get close to PSU but it will provide cushion for a trophy.
  10. Entries are out per UWW. We could potentially see Lee vs RBY! Speaking of which, I find it curious that Roman is even entered at this event, given the qualifier is just a week later. Suriano is registered at 61kg. I wouldn't hold my breath about seeing him actually compete. Pan am champs entries
  11. alright that's cool. Kinda weird he would try to pull a fast one on you like that given how well his career is documented but at the end of the day it's nothing
  12. He literally lied to your face. If I could meet him in person, I would ask him why
  13. That's just some straight bullshit. He got thrashed by Vito in freestyle and lost 2 different freestyle tournaments to nobodies after his freshman year
  14. This made my jaw dropped. He is listed at 61 kg now. I understand if that was a typo or an error in the initial reporting.
  15. I've been wondering the same. I did notice that he went from 2 braces, to 1, to none. My bet is that he has been slowed down by an injury (which could make cutting weight more difficult) but will round into form by Big Ten's barring any further setbacks.
  16. Unlimited bricks
  17. Literally a last second reversal. bullcrap
  18. Saldate pissed that one away
  19. For sure. I was being somewhat facetious. There was a lot of chatter online (perhaps not on this board, I don't recall) about how Lee would be a non-factor because he *only* beat Nico by 3/4 points. I was just playing off of that. But I really don't expect much from RBY. If he isn't on the opposite side of Zane at the pan-am qualifier, I don't foresee him qualifying for the Olympics, depending on who goes to the global qualifier. Nothing against him. He's just too heavy
  20. 2-1 over Deshazer. RBY is not going to be a factor
  21. Glazier has been a pleasant surprise this year. It appalls me that the coaching staff wanted to replace him with the uberdouche edit: a rather anticlimactic way to get the tech fall
  22. Sounds like it is almost worth signing up for the premium tier
  23. I don't hate how they are calling stalling on top these days, I just wish it was more consistent. Guys that are working on a tilt get called meanwhile, there are still plenty of spiral rides that are allowed to run without an end in sight
  24. ew. That was a yucky win
