  1. Does Brock Hardy bump up to take out Sasso and cement his legacy?
  2. Someone who was at the dual told me that Warner got heated with one of the Brands' brothers after the match against Foy. I didn't see the exchange on the stream. I also wasn't aware that there was an exchange after the match with Dean, which makes me even less confident that he'll be benched this coming Friday (which was always just pure speculation on my part).
  3. If it were to happen, I'd guess Kolby Franklin
  4. Cass wrestled Parris at last year's NCAAs, losing 11-5. I hope he can close the gap some. Warner had a very heated exchange with Terry after his loss this past Friday. I have a feeling he'll be benched.
  5. I have no idea what most hawk fans think. I have family members that were part of the program during Gable's reign. They all think highly of Lee but none are convinced that he is the Hawkeye Goat (yet). None of us care to speculate what may happen in 2029 when Brand's contract is due for renegotiation
  6. This is all true but let's please stop using HR as a source for what all/majority of Hawkeye fans think. There are what, maybe 60 active posters on the board (that feels high). It's a good source for information and a chuckle but at the end of the day, that board represents a small sliver of the Hawkeye fandom. Ditto for other team centric message boards
  7. Neither. Alex Marinelli is going to be 2024 Olympic champ (in Greco). Concrete guarantee.
  8. Don't completely disagree - this weight is not easy to rank because a bunch of guys have beaten each other but I'm not sure Brandon Courtney should be so high up with a loss to Barnett. Ditto for DeAugustino who is currently 4-4 on the year. Not trying to be overtly critical. It's a tricky weight and I don't have the answers
  9. O'Toole simply toyed with Sheets. Anything Sheets tried, Keegan turned against him
  10. I agree with everything you said here except for the bolded. I can't tell you how many times I've seen him storm off the mat in anger, often screaming things like "why am I like this". He's had some less than flattering displays post match. Still, I'm not trying to hate on him and agree that the stuff being posted on social media regarding this performance is a bit much. Finally, Warner is a tough, gritty wrestler but watching him is not always fun
  11. That's all very reasonable but when the 2 marquee match-ups of the dual don't end up happening the optics look bad and I, as a fan, feel sucky.
  12. Are you the poster formerly known as, "wrasslerneverdiesasacatfan" or something similar?
  13. He started off on a heater at the beginning of the season. Vak was right, he did look better. Ever since the All-Star though he has been on a gradual decline. I'm not going to speculate what the cause is but it's plain and simple that he is wrestling ugly right now. Even with his history of stepping up at NCAA's I would not pick him to AA if he continues to wrestle like he has been. Things need to change, fast.
  14. Why? Romero makes sense, he appeared to hurt his fingers and maybe his knee or ankle? What reason is there to sit any other wrestlers? I say that after watching my primary team trot out 3 true freshmen last night
  15. Sounds like an excuse. If Cronin is healthy, I see no reason why he shouldn't wrestle. If Manning wants his backups to get experience he can send them out against non-ranked guys. Just as I type this, Manning sends another duck to wrestle against Coleman
  16. I spotted Cronin standing next to Manning during the stream. My guess, this was a classic case of seed protection duck. Disappointing. I think Cronin would have won that match
  17. Cronin a no show today. Is this a duck, or did Van Dee beat him out for the spot? Ramos won but did not look that great. He can be exciting at times but also tends to wrestle very conservatively at times.
  18. Spencer Lee has had these types of matches every year going back to his freshman year. Even in 2020, when he seemed to be at his best, he gassed against Gutierrez of Chattanooga and famously failed to bonus Jack Medley. He's always been fine in March. Though you never want to see your 3 time champ gas after the 1st period, Pat McKee is a 2x AA and couldn't do nothing. Even Jore Volk was able to score a takedown on Lee in the 3rd. I guess that's progress. I'm not concerned about his gas tank. I am, however, mildly concerned about the presence of the 2nd knee sleeve. There also seemed to be more intense wrapping present underneath the sleeve. His mobility also seemed off. HR and twitter are aswirl with rumors of "illness going through the room". Hopefully that's all it is.
  19. I'm not worried. I'm the biggest Lee fan I know. Just calling it how I see it
  20. Sheesh. This is how 100% bonus ends?
  21. Lee gassed after a period
  22. Would it be complete sacrilege to state that I enjoy both? Depends on what I'm pairing it with
  23. I was trying to take a light jab at his arrogance but, 1) I'm just some faceless entity on the internet. Meanwhile, he is on track to be a college great, 2) his attitude has served him well this far, and 3) I have no reason to believe that his positive traits don't far outweigh his negative ones
