  1. Confusing title but that was part of the plan. Who are your picks as of this moment to win it all? Mine are: Spencer Lee Vito Arujau Alirez Gomez (fingers crossed) AOC David Carr An average performance from Carter Brooks Nino Mason Parris
  2. Fig's best win is over Matt Ramos, an excellent win but Fig also has an uninspiring 7-5 win over ISU's 4th string and a 6-5 squeeker over unranked Antonio Lorenzo. Fig will be a good one but his lack of offense remains a liability. Courtney is the clear better option this year
  3. Great list but in Piccininni's case, he was able to get it to work that one time
  4. Murin with a gritty, ugly win. Voinovich is going to be good
  5. "Carter, f****** do something" heard loud and clear on the broadcast
  6. I know refs officially don't call top stalling, but it'd be better if they would.
  7. I hope they stop with the woo'ing soon
  8. Warner can be really tough to watch. Pulls out the win on the back of a locked hands call Edit: I'll take it though. It's an improvement over losing by last second takedown
  9. Allred with bushels of offense
  10. Woah. That was electric
  11. Interesting strategy by the master. While other teams are scheduling tough comp only to duck half the matches, PSU bringing a feisty but overmatched opponent for the team (minus Brooks) to evidently get some practice in just in time for the big dance. Never seen RBY hit a headlock before and today he not only did that twice but also did his best Spencer Lee impression with the reverse bar for the pin.
  12. Entertaining dual so far. Cronin over Courtney in SV, McGee with a 1st period pin. At the moment, Hardy losing to some dude 9-4 in the 3rd period. Edit: Hardy loses 10-4. Gave up a cradle in the 1st period. Couldn't come back. Wasted too much time trying to be crafty in par terre
  13. That sounds about as likely as my scenario. But the acl snapping is something I worry about every match
  14. This would probably look like Lee vs Mueller. Lee too slick in the 1st (Fix rarely does anything in the 1st period) and gets a takedown. Fix rides out the 2nd, snapping one of Lee's ACLs in the process. 3rd period Fix goes all in on an inside trip but Lee pops it off and secures his own takedown. Book it.
  15. Cardinale has missed a few matches himself. I suspect that's related to the knee though
  16. Between season tickets for my two favorite teams, subscriptions to all the various services I need to watch wrestling, YouTube TV, contributing to an RTC, tickets and hotels for the big dance, I end up spending thousands of dollars a year on wrestling, more than I do on all my other entertainment (and other things like books and education) combined. Then I sit down for 2 hours and watch a JV performance from Cornell, Ohio State, and Flo. Ultimately wondering what the hell am I doing with my life. Anyway, time to go to my BJJ class
  17. Anybody know what happened to Mastro? I heard a rumour he was off the team. Was the FCC cracking down on his zoo operation?
  18. Max Dean so good, he places twice
  19. Gilman rides a funny looking bicycle. So there's that
  20. Fix struggled with the ankle scoop into leg ride that DiSario put on him. I'm guessing he must have learned that from Cenzo. Btw, the dual against South Dakota State was supposed to be televised but had technical issues shut it down. Does video exist?
  21. Sandoval kept trying to make something happen. He didn't back down. Unfortunately, his defense sucks. The 1st time RBY jumped over Sandoval was cool. The next 3 attempts gave off punkish vibes
  22. Except for the 2 forfeits...
  23. Well, that sounds encouraging. Hope the best for him. Fighting an injury and a brutal weight cut at the same time is brutal.
  24. Iowa, famous for ducking, has so far fielded a full team
