  1. I have enough cynicism in my life so I'm going to try and take the positive route and take Bo at his word - that Iowa has been his favorite team since he was 6, Spencer is his favorite wrestler (he's been saying this for years), and the Brands' brand of Christianity really jived with him. In terms of why the recruiting timeline was suddenly accelerated, maybe the PSU beatdown made him realize that he already made up his mind and wanted to get to work at "changing the program". Something he talked a looooot about. Or maybe it's just money. Hope not because that's a bummer to think about. On a more positive note, his brother Keegan's socials are filled with very pro Iowa content. Looks like the Hawks have yet another strong prospect all but locked up.
  2. Closer than I'd like. A win is a win but I was hoping for a beheading. Spencer seemed to fade a little /was less active than typical in the 2nd. Maybe training with Mr. Machine gun will help his conditioning. Kudos to RBY. He looks much better at 59kg.
  3. No. They'll go 133/141/149. Ill give you my doge address so that you can wire the coin once it happens. But in reality I think the chances of a collision are decent. Jax and Blaze look to have similar body types to my untrained eye
  4. Just read the completely normal interaction you had with our favorite Michigan state fan on HR... Brother really loves to talk!
  5. Willie said a number of times that Bo isn't coming to Iowa. On Bach's podcast last week he scoffed at the idea
  6. He mentioned faith a bunch. Maybe Jesus is Terry trained? OK, OK with that sacrilegious pinata out of the way maybe it's as simple as what he said: Iowa has been his favorite program since he was a kid
  7. I genuinely didn't expect that. Makes husker du look foolish which is a nice touch
  8. Parco beats Ridge. Bet your bitcoin on it
  9. He can keep it close. I'll be happy if he can threaten with some leg attacks
  10. 99% of gamblers quit before they win big
  11. He redshirted in 2020, 2021 was the free year and 2024 was a medical. This is his 3rd year of active competition and, I think, means he has 1 more year of eligibility remaining.
  12. that is a guess on my part based on his wrestlestat. If he's not available next year then the Tan Toms might get locked up in the tanning beds with no way out
  13. bro, I can't believe I forgot about Welsh. Davino-Bouzer-Mendez-warm body-warm body-Gallagher-Kharchla-Welsh-warm body - Feldman is the making of a good lineup. I'd say they've gone from "cooked" to "laying on the baking sheet ready to be salted and roasted"
  14. You can't bait or hound people into talking about Basset. You need to let these things play out naturally or else the over/under becomes void and you'll be penalized CBs
  15. Idk what exotic lands you've been to but around this here parts the 69" means 69 inches, God's preferred height for his male subjects and even if Bo never quite makes it to that golden standard, he'll be ok. Aaron Brooks did just fine at 4'3"
  16. I like the energy. Unfortunately, I'm all tapped out on effusive over the top prediction energy but I find myself nodding my head to some of what you're putting down
  17. I'm cautiously optimistic that The Tan Tom University can start cooking with peanut oil in the next 2 years. Get Davino in the lineup, continue to progress Bouzer and Gallagher, get Sasso back on track, gear up Feldman for top 3 and figure out something between 184 and 197. It's a lot (I'm probably overlooking eligibility) and I think there are valid concerns regarding development recently, but I think Tan Tom and his bronze battalions should not be underestimated. As an aside, I think it's funny that none of the wrestlers have had a noticeable tan in at least 5 years. You might not though
  18. That's way too high. I'd say over under 5.5 on new threads that are started strictly about Bo with 8.5 on total new threads that at some point talk about Bo.
  19. Be a brother and ask him after you bring home the yellow medal from. Zagreb
  20. There will certainly be some bellyaching. Have you been paying attention to what a loud subset of PSU fans have been saying on Twitter and the forums about Bo?
  21. Ohio State is toast. Iowa is charred to a crisp. The DT era will end before it begins. Michigan is defunding and Cornell is getting annexed by Canada
  22. I feel like this is an overly cynical take even per the wrestling community's standards. What will people be saying if he commits to PSU or VaTech? That not even Bob Nichol's nickles or David Taylor's gnome ears could sway him?
  23. I rewatched the match just now and, I'm afraid to say that I was wrong. By my counting, Carter took one more meaningful shot than Angelo in the first period and initiated the only meaningful sequence in the 2nd. Angelo got both arms around the leg twice in the third and made 5 other shot attempts - but I wouldn't call them good. Carter got in very deep very late in the third but it seemed to me like he didn't work terribly hard to finish. Which is funny because I read over and over again that Angelo was simply shooting to burn clock. I think that is a dumb take but if ever there was a display of "shooting to stall", Carter The Scholar exemplified it masterfully in the third period. However, overall Starocci was more offensively minded than I gave him credit for initially. Finally, to make it abundantly clear, I think Angelo deserved those stall calls, just like how I think basically anybody that backs up to the edge to reduce action is stalling. I've aired my grievances sufficiently regarding this match so I won't burn clock any further.
