  1. FRL said he was close with Colon and Colon is leaving…is he going anywhere else? Speaking of Colon, don’t think I had seen this before:
  2. I’m sure it’d be a lot less subjective than how OOB stalling or lack thereof is currently called
  3. This isn’t true in regards to top stalling. Based on the clarification that was released, much of what we’ve complained about here is not stalling by rule (although it should be).
  4. They didn’t really go into much detail about the coaching/training situation that likely made the problem much worse…was mostly focused on the recovery
  5. Was able to get the wife to see this with me. We were the only ones in the theater. I feel like they didn't do a great job marketing this, I probably would've never heard about it if not for FRL. Not bad though. Does it count as spoilers if it's a documentary? But anyway, I'm not sure if I realized the extent of her injury during the trials, which apparently occurred while wrestling RBY. Outside of Helen of course, Mark Perry seemed to be considered somewhat of another hero of the film. No badmouthing of NLWC of course (we did get a glimpse of some dodgeball practice), but lots of praise for Perry. Also not sure if I was aware of the rich couple that seemingly funds Sunkist. A forum poster's daughter even had a small speaking part.
  6. Well now it seems there’s actually a chance it might change
  7. Stepout removes the subjectivity
  8. I know FRL discussed on a prior episode that it just seems odd that you earn 4x as much for a fall in the consolations as simply winning the match, and I'd agree. But I think they've also theorized about scoring more in the consolations than the championship bracket, which I'm not sure about. Do you have the breakdown of "middle rounds" in the above? I would guess the championship bracket gradually declines and would be curious if the consolation does as well.
  9. What is Minnow claiming about Bouzakis?
  10. Discussed on FRL today. Some of the key ones and my thoughts: 1. No longer requiring headgear. Dislike. It should be required in practices 2. Changing first MFF to a loss. I like it. 3. Reducing the scoring for consolation bracket (no specifics though). I like it. 4. Offensive wrestler must work for a fall/near fall. YES YES YES 5. One point pushout rule. I think I like it, but not sure.
  11. Speaking of Chris Cannon and Iowa, great Chris Cannon moment when I made the Stalemates show
  12. And would still finish like 30 points behind PSU
  13. Wasn’t there a wrestler from Iran or something that was in that ballpark as well?
  14. Trailer: Produced by Chris Pratt. I had not heard of this until yesterday's FRL. Might try to check it out. Would be a good way to support the wrestling community.
  15. What does a mug stall like? That doesn’t even make sense
  16. To be fair, Pat Pop did not look great in that exchange either…
  17. The correlation between Noto and Hildebrandt is a little eerie to me honestly. They both finished 4th while wrestling for a mid major, but also have multiple losses to guys that finished much lower. There is a ton of parity at 125, so Noto is no shoo-in to AA again next year.
  18. Were there any former Ivy League wrestlers that were able to transfer out in time to wrestle in 2021?
  19. You don’t know anything about him but you know he’s a stud? I don’t know if I’d go that far (although his match with Minnino was one of the best HS matches of all time IMO) but I also don’t think Noto would be a noticeable upgrade. There’s just so much parity at 125. Noto lost to Heinselman this year and Howard has beaten (and lost twice to) Heinselman. And of course we all know the last time PSU got a mid-major transfer that finished 4th at NCAA’s the year before, he went 1-2 the next year…
  20. I thought it was always “for real,” just that it wasn’t going to actually happen until after this season?
  21. I doubt anyone “approached him” at NCAA’s. They usually just wait until world competitions and have the NLWC athletes do it
  22. I heard he took the picture, but not sure why they wouldn’t have had someone else do it
  23. That doesn’t really answer the question
  24. I thought the youngest Ferrari was supposed to actually be a good kid and wrestler? Not sure if it’d be worth the risk with the other 2 though
