I was not cornered, I was fine. I did enjoy a excelled Chop Cheese sandwich at Hi-Pointe drive in before the match... Highly recommened. I thought the first overturned takedown on Ruth was the one that should have been. The 2nd I didn't think was cause he only had one arm and Pulliam rolled out of it. I will say I disagreed with the stall call in the last second. Ruth was shooting for a stall call not a takedown and Pulliam stayed in front and circled after that last attempt back to the center. BUT, oh yeah, he should have been called prior to last 5 second restart for a 2nd point without a doubt. The dual meet went exactly the way I thought it would. I expected three competitive matches and all three were. I thought Davis would do well after seeing him in wrestle offs. I was correct. He is going to surprise some people this year and with Noto up at 133. Could be a MAC contender. I thought The Woodcock Vs. Kraisser match was going to be competitive and crazy and I was spot on. It almost could have been a first period tech for Woodcock cause he so close to getting 2nd and 3rd set of nearfalls against Kraisser (I thought he should of got a 2nd set. But the ref had a better angle than I did). But man was that a fun 2:30. I also thought the Pulliam and Ruth match would be close (did not expect OT) and I was correct on that. I thought Kannon Webster, the Braunagels, Scoles and Lucas Byrd looked great. Marcel Lopez is tough and finished 3rd in the MAC and can keep matches close. Byrd looked like he had no rust. Webster looked huge for a 149 and was constant pressure. Scoles looked slick as hell and is going to be a problem for 165 lbs. I thought maybe Nick Nosler might be able to keep the match competitive with Zach. But Zach looked great. I think Illinois has a change at 3-5 AA's and 7 AARP cards. I have to say it was a very good crowd there as well.

Hey, I am not a developer (merely and engineer that uses scripts for need) So thank you. but, I have written scripts to scrape html in the past. But that totatlly works.

When I get time this week. I may try to create one. The only thing that I am wondering since you have to create a session on trackwrestling. How to handle that and then parse to strictly which division you want and only those teams and then to those wrestlers. I actually would think that wrestlestat does that. I may have to look at their coding to see what they do. That might be a way to do that
-
I will be there. So I guess I will be the judge of the middle age women in the crowd. Also, I think 80% of Illinois lineup gets their AARP after the match. (Nothing wrong with that)
-
Got one wrong actually Ray over Trezek. Sorry
-
You could maybe find a code that scrapes the data and put it in a file. Then parse it out after that. https://blog.cambridgespark.com/collecting-web-data-without-an-api-272a09e4fab7 I may try to create a script to do this. But let me check github to see if there is one.

No not really. It was a wild match. McCallister was a top 100 recruit and former super 32 and fargo placer. He was like 170-2 in high school. I was surprised he lost to Gioffre 9-6 in SV. So it makes me think the three of them go back and forth. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

You forgot the dual with Iowa State & North Carolina as well Yes but the rest of their non-conference is not that stellar. Chattanooga, Edinboro, Hofstra, Lock Haven
-
#13 Mizzou has a dual schedule of (Intermat Dual Rankings) non-conference - #1 Penn State, #6 Virginia Tech, #11 Cornell, #12 Illinois, #15 Stanford, #16 Little Rock Conference - #5 Oklahoma State, #8 Iowa State, #10 Northern Iowa, #19 Oklahoma, #20 West Virginia, #22 Arizona State. That is 12 of the top 25 teams. Their Tournament schedule (They don't go to Vegas, Salute, Midlands or Schuffle) Tiger Style - #16 Little Rock, #27 Maryland, #29 Purdue, Cal Poly, SIU-Edwardsville Cougar Clash - #9 Minnesota, #12 Illinois, #16 Little Rock, Northern Colorado, Northern Illinois, SIU-Edwardsville. So their dual schedule is super strong. Tournament is decently tough without going to one of the biggies.

Campbell Wrestling is about to cut their program
killdozer replied to TNwrestling's topic in College Wrestling
So I did some figuring. Campbell cost $56,151.00 to go there (With everything). They have 45 kids on their roster. If they give every wrestler 20% (which is what it would be if they handed out all the scholarship money). The University brings in roughly 2 million with the wrestling teams numbers alone after scholarships. With a school budget that is at 278 million and endownment of a little over 200 million. Their Football team has had four winning seasons since 2008 (which I think is when they started the football program) and they play NCAA I-AA which is a money drainer. They played North Carolina last year. So they probably got paid 500 K to get their ass kicked. Their Basketball team made the NCAA tournament in 1992. None since as a matter of fact since joining the NCAA DI in 1978 550-757. But sure, cut scholarships from the program that has won you 6 of the last 9 conference championships. That has produced All-Americans. Now, if you are a kid that goes there to wrestle and they are cutting scholarships and the cost is that much. Plus their graduation rate is 56% at Campbell are you staying after this? -
Your Complete Preseason Guide to ILLINI Wrestling
killdozer replied to ILLINIWrestlingBlog's topic in College Wrestling
Cougar Clash from what I can gather is going to be as of now. Northern Colorado Missouri Illinois Minnesota Northern Illinois SIU-Edwardsville Little Rock Army West Point was here last year and they wrestle in St. Louis the night before vs. Iowa. So it is possible they will be here as it is a 30 minute drive to SIU-Edwardsville from where they are wrestling. Little Rock duals Central Michigan the day after the Cougar Clash and since they will have already wrestled Mizzou and SIU-E at the Tiger Style Invite. Plus they dual Mizzou two weeks after the Clas. I think they might bring a backup and true Freshman. But they could bring starters since it is only an 8 hour drive to Mt. Pleasant, MI and Edwardsville and Mt. Pleasant have International Airports within 45 minutes of each other. They might wrestle both. Eirsman has been known to wrestle anyone, anytime. -
St. Louis, Minneapolis awarded D1 Championships in '27 & '28
killdozer replied to Jason Bryant's topic in College Wrestling
Dogbone, I am from St. Louis and I loved Kansas City. But I will say that yes Ballpark Village is close by. But there have been a few more restaurants/bars that have opened up near to Enterprise since 2021 cause they finished the Soccer Stadium that is essentially across the street from the Enterprise Center. Will it be as convenient as KC...NO way. Lots of places you could go with a cheap Uber and 10 to 15 minutes ride. The Hill (best food, The last Italian Neighborhood around. Families have been living in the same houses for over 100 years), South Grand (lots of ethnic food), Dogtown/Maplewood (bars/restaurants), Central West End (You can take the metrolink train to this), Cherokee District. Washington Ave (Which is only like 4 blocks over). -
Bo Bassett Narrows His College List..........From 80 to 73

I don't know if he was held back two years. But at Who's #1 it listed his age at 18 (Zepeda was 19). Depends on when his birthday is. -

I thought that Myles Amine's quarterfinal was insane. 16-15 or 16-14 was the final. It was great and exciting.
-
So my post was from March 25th Whiting and Boersma hadn't transferred yet. So my opinion now. 125- Surtin (but unlike last year he will have some people to spell him from time to time. I heard Freshman Gage Walker is down here. So he might push things) 133- Kade Moore (Crawford is still there and Jake Crapps could push him as well) 141- Josh Edmond (round of 12. Could be AA. Zeke Seltzer could also be a player here if he is not 149) 149- Seltzer (if he has grown into one), Pulliam, McCallister or Gioffre (Gioffre may end up being the 157 which is why I put him last. But Pulliam majored Willochell, McCallister was their biggest 2023 recruit, and Seltzer could be the guy here if he has put on 149 muscle) 157- Gioffre or Fisher (Fisher is listed as the starter on wrestlestat. He didn't wrestle a match last year but in his redshirt year he beat 2 national qualifiers in Dejon Castro and Jared Hill. So maybe) 165- Steed or Conway (Conway still may try to make 157) 174- KOT 184- Hawks 197- Elam (If Elam can't go, Then Sinclair or Hawks) 285- Nitzel (entered the portal but is on Mizzou's roster)

How Not to Behave As a Parent During a Wrestling Match
killdozer replied to Rassling's topic in College Wrestling
In the later video that I saw the ref was speaking on it and said the kid had the toe and was cranking the knee against the joint by pulling at the toe. Which is actually illegal. But he was calling PD
