  1. Barr/Buchanon has the most variability in the potential outcomes., IMO. Could be tight and SV decider yet also could be a MD either way. I am looking forward to that one.
  2. To think some folks read these boards for the wrestling' talk, I come for the education! Nietzsche: "God is dead!" God: "Nietzsche is dead." Settled that one for you, thank me later.
  3. Mesenbrink might be posing as a philosophy major, or he's just trying to get his head around the conundrum that is Schrödinger's cat -- can he be a champion and lose the championship final at the same time?
  4. FWIW my 2 cents. Levi gonna be on a rampage with Carter, SVN rebounding, Ayala is healthy, Tyler v Teemer is SV match 33 takedowns because "its the water" -- Rolling Rock. 125 Lilledahl dec 133 Ayala dec 141 Bartlett major 149 Van Ness dec 157 Teemer dec 165 Mesenbrink major 174 Haines FALL 184 Starocci major 197 Buchanan dec Hwt Kerkvliet dec PSU 27-9
  5. I was attempting humor. missed. I coached try to peak in march, and what happens before is another day at the office.
  6. PSU squad was most obviously looking past a gritty Rutgers lineup to next weekend and the invasion of the Hawkeyes. I have heard the Cael, almost daily, talks up THAT dual (duels) as being the single most important date on the calendar. "Gentlemen, you are about to wrestle IOWA, never in your life will you attempt something as important as this.." --- or so I have heard from a reputable source.
  7. You forget Hotel Management - Cornell strong suit. Kid has seen a great deal of hospitality during the recruitment process, so he may have a post-wrestling career aspirations in that area.
  8. IDK, if you walk the walk I think you get to talk the talk, right? Carter is pretty frank/brutally honest about the value of his class schedule at PSU to the furtherance of his career. Collegiate sport, wrestling included is all about the Benjamín's at the level these guys engaged. Gable the entertainer shows the way, CStar has taken some of the lesson, I think. Bo's gonna make dosh by creating a social media presence if the MMA thing doesn't pan out -- and that's a good idea IMHO. He clearly needs more coaching on how to engage on a podcast. Nikal's & Dimes not gonna be in my rotation, life is too short.
  9. You called it amigo.
  10. WADE SCHALLES because he entertained the (small) crowds out in Western Pennsylvania every match. He had a bridge for his missing front incisor, he'd take that out before the match and smile, a big assed, gap-toothed grin, while he was competing. and usually pinning his foe. Hulk Hogan sort of stole his act, IMHO After Wade... Bo Nickal, Jason Nolf and Zane Retherford were fun to watch. Anthony Casar, but too little of him. Carleton Haselrig, Jon Trenge, Carey Kolat, Kyle Dake, and Bryce Andonian for the thrill ride.
  11. especially great a Christmas time !
  12. we will have a simple corn chowder- heavy cream and roasted corn, natch - and a couple loaves of crusty French bread. Cookies galore, and some eggnog. no weigh ins for me, not anymore.
  13. Peter & Glenn wrote a song about it, and its friggin great.
  14. Did you ever have butter on a pop tart? it's so freaking good.....
  15. Idiotic premise absolutely --- considering the source "entirely witless" might be more apt.
  16. What is going on with Meyer Schapiro? Noggin busted? Happy to see a Harvard upset, but not like this. Shapiro kept holding his head after failing on an inside trip, and hitting the mat.
  17. Aw with any great wrestler, his work is thorough. I understand Mark's thesis has been summited at U Penn: Title: “Movements of Resistance: Exploring the Intersection of Lesbian Identity and Contemporary Dance” Abstract: This dissertation will investigate how contemporary dance has been used as a form of expression and resistance within lesbian communities. It will explore the historical context of lesbian dance theory, analyze key performances, and discuss the impact of dance on lesbian identity politics. The research will involve a combination of qualitative methods, including interviews with dancers and choreographers, analysis of dance performances, and a review of relevant literature on gender, sexuality, and dance theory.
