  1. As it stands B1G 157 will be a bloodbath on Pirate's Police Blotter Teemer, Chumbley and Sasso/Cannon all looking to commit some major thievery.
  2. If Nic does transfer out because he wants to stay 133, I think PITT makes the most sense, and if Kilkeary wants to get off the bench he could come back and be a hometown hero...
  3. Bo is also too short for 74KG. I think we could see Blaze, Forrest, and Bassett all in the 141-lb bracket at the 2027 NCAAs.
  4. Forrest, Herring is committed to PSU but showing support is good. Butler is a backup at McCourt but beat PSU commit Perry.
  5. My take: 125: Flynn by Dec 3-0 133: Bouzakis by Dec 3-3 141: Mendez by MD 7-3 149: DDE by Dec 10-3 157: Askey by Dec 10-6 165: Sparks by Dec 10-9 174: Kharcala by Dec 13-9 184: McEnelly by Dec 13-12 197: Salazar by MD 16-13 285: Gable by TF 21-13 Gophers Final Score This should be a good one. OSU needs a 13-point lead going into 184 to feel safe, IMO. If they have anything less, the Gophers will take it.
  6. I thought I saw someone, maybe Willie, say Kaleb is injured and potentially out for the year. IIIRC someone said Kyler is undergoing some kind of hip surgery and that is why he is taking the gap year.
  7. He was always very high on Pitt. They were 2nd when he initially committed to tOSU. He has always been close with Headlee and Pletcher, those relationships seem to have been the driving factor. Also, there is a huge difference in student experience between the two schools so that could have been a factor if he felt the big school lifestyle was more for him.
  8. Panthers over the Trees on Friday. Panthers are the superior big cat?
  9. Having seen OSU in person this year I will say that watching Sasso and Gallagher warm up together it looked pretty clear to me that Gallagher was the bigger of the two. I think the best tOSU lineup could potentially be Sasso 157 and Gallagher 165 but that depends on if the 157 Sasso is closer to pre injury ability than 165 Sasso is.
  10. Is he looking to beat Gallagher out? A weight swap? something else?
  11. He moved to PA and is wrestling for Erie this season
  12. The issue the US also has is that while the people are bigger, wrestling is far from the most popular sport. Other countries don't lose half of the top 20 HS heavyweights yearly to HS/college football. I mean look we lost Gable for the most recent Olympics because he wanted to dick around in a Bills uniform for a summer.
  13. I wouldn't say get rid of 125(I would move it up when/if UWW does). But if someone suggested a 120lb weight class I would think that is ridiculous. Adding more weight classes to either end of the spectrum doesn't do much.
  14. The issue is a domestic folkstyle season is far longer than freestyle competition. Guys weigh in more times during NCAA dual season then they do for an entire year of freestyle competition. Guys will still compete a weight class above their ideal freestyle weight to avoid having to hold it for the entire season
  15. 205, 220 and 285 is overkill. Lots of D1 programs only have 1-2 guys per weight at 197 and 285. Adding another weight class in between will help a few 97kg guys but most programs will struggle to cover all those weights. Also losing 149 would take away arguably the most exciting weight and split it between 145 and 155.
  16. Jared Keslar (Unranked) takes out Sammy Sasso 13-11
  17. Birden is their best 174 with Kharcala still out and Welsh in RS. At 184 Shumate is good and just took 4th at CKLV Rogotzke going 197 because Geog is hurt. He also has only wrestled once this season so he has likely been injured or struggling with weight. ' Their lineup for the rest of the year could very well see Shumate 184 and Rogotzke 197
  18. My guess: LL drops a close one or two along the way but is number 1 guy in country going into NCAAs Bartlett drops at least one of the Mendez/Hardy matches Kasak drops one of his dual/b10 matches along the way Barr drops one to one of the top 197s Kerk loses to Gable at B10s Undefeated going into NCAAs. SVN Mess Haines CSTAR
  19. Barr looks like a serious NC contender. I can't wait for him to get into the meat of the schedule. He has a chance to wrestle Buchanan, Cardenas and even Elam in duals this year.
  20. The in-match concussion protocol tests are normally a joke. Symptoms don't always immediately set in and the adrenaline/drive to compete will often lead to kids saying they are okay when they are not
  21. Willie's latest crystal ball said Larkin is out, potentially for the year
  22. I agree. District One on top
  23. I did so I would hope so.
  24. Faith has Three 1 seeds, a 2 seed, a 3 seed, two 6 seeds and a 7 seed. If everyone performs to seed they will be hard to beat.
