  1. Alot of movement in the last week with Nickerson at Army and Josh Moore at Kent State. What is the etiquette on keeping old asst coaches. Do they normally leave or stay?
  2. When a new head coach comes in like in Kent State's case or Army. Do the old asst coaches usually stay or go?
  3. No way am I going to do that. Not calling a kid out when it was there dad that did this to them. Like I said I know two kids my son wrestled at Bison duals this year that were going to be pushing 21 after their PG year. They went to a prep. Not naming. That aint cool cause I am butt hurt But it is happening. The majority of elite D1 wrestler's are at least a one year hold back. That is the norm. I do know the 3 year holdbacks are rare but not unheard of. Again it is all legal. I am more upset with the system than even the dads wanting glory for their sons at all costs. Money, money, money. But PJ should not redshirt. The one thing that made Snyder so great is he was never a hold back correct? And never redshirted and nearly was a 4 time champ.
  4. Maybe not alot in the grand scheme doing PG years but I ran into a few at Bison duals last year. But 21 year old freshman is not abnormal which is the point. Legal but cmon dads...geez!
  5. But yes money over morality. It is legal and within the rules so I should stop running my mouth.
  6. The sad thing is this is true and happening alot with the elite guys especially. Start late in K. Then hold back in 6th or 8th grade. Go to Prep school and possibly take a PG year. 21 when you graduate high school. Why are we allowing this? Then the media says how great they are for winning senior level events in high school. Don't get me wrong winning senior level anything at any age is amazing. But stop saying how amazing it is for a high schooler to do it. How old is that kid? I was sitting in the stands and I over heard alot of people saying how are these high schoolers doing this? I wanted to turn around and say cause their daddy made them go 15 years of school before college. But I bit my tongue.
  7. I think redshirting in general should be taken away. Also no more double holdbacks. Especially in the top prep schools. Most are a minimum of one year hold backs. Some are close to three years after they take a post graduate year. So as a red shirt freshman some if these kids/men are 22 years old! It simple is not right. Guys like Duke and Forrest would be 3 timers instead of 4 timers. I wish they would reign this practice in. Then half of the low level D1 guys who are sometimes only 17 are wrestling full grown men. So unfair man. But with all that said PSU is another problem. Like a dang monopoly. Senior world team members should not be redshirting. Go to another freaking team man!
  8. They threw money at Bill Belichick. Money and it appears they want to invest in wrestling.
  9. Where would that be? Chapel Hill? They got money!
  10. Agree. I thought for a second maybe West Point! But the only reason I said Kent State is because it is the only D1 program out there left according to the article just posted. It wasn't posted so does that mean that one is already filled?
  11. How could it be any place other than Nebraska? The pre-season #3 in country! Would schools fire their solid head coach to get him like Iowa state did for Cael? I see in the article Kent State has a head coach opening? Has that been filled? The only D1 head coaching spot still open. Would Burroughs like to build a program from the ground up?
  12. I hear you guys. Gonna go with Trumble. I thought HWT was gonna be boring after those top 5 monsters left. Now with AJ entering it might be one of the most exciting again!
  13. Trumble wins Hwt this year. Why is no one picking him?
  14. Ok wow ok. Only one! There is usually 2 or 3 open at the beginning of June. they got to scramble to come with their staff and get ready for upcoming season.
  15. Are there even any D1 head coaching positions open?
