    Using participation numbers at the highest level tournaments in the world is not a good metric for how “popular” a sport is worldwide. How many are attempting to qualify? How many kids participate? How was the fan attendance for Greco vs freestyle at the Olympics? Its anecdotal, but I was encouraged to wrestle Greco at Fargo despite not being interested simply because it was “easier to qualify”.

    I agree, but then when someone posts expectations based on reality they get ripped on for not giving the US enough credit or whatever. the only USMFS wrestler that really underperformed was Mason. The others just aren’t as good as people wanted to believe.

Knock down Dake and Snyder a spot for sure plus maybe Spencer. People were hyping up the US preemptively asking if the US should have an asterisk next to their team title this year and this is the performance they put up??? this team shit the bed compared to expectations

You really have that low of expectations for USA Wrestling? This isn’t Greco. its also the way they lost. Brooks lost because of bad decisions. Parris had the worst possible gameplan for his opponent. Both are likely better wrestlers than guys they lost to. Dake came in as the favorite and lost. In what world is that all not disappointing?

    As far as I can tell the most expensive solo ticket is 209€. The high prices are for blocks of 6 tickets.
