    The first thing wrestling needs to do is figure out how to stop these coaches from holding wrestlers out against other ranked wrestlers. It’s hard to build a story line that casual viewers do not understand.

    Great point, Reader is not the right hire. Working at a Big Ten school does not make u a head coach, especially when the whole staff is looking at being canned. Would Bolyard leave Michigan for CMU? I agree that should be hire. Smith is from Wisconsin, so he may want to get local.

    After the troubles at UNC with his wrestler intentionally hurting others and him keeping that wrestler on the team, you may not have to throw a bag of money at him.

    So how is Reader being considered for HC job, makes no sense.

    NIL and Portal will be the down fall of smaller programs. They recruit and give them scholarships , train, develop the wrestlers and then get poached by bigger programs. This will lead to the end of smaller programs which will lead to less scholarship options for recruits that the big schools did not recruit or recognize their talent. This will eventually lead to HS numbers declining. look at how many SEC and ACC have wrestling programs.

    So he commits to a school and they train and develop him for four years and then he realizes they don’t have his program. Look at programs and tell we what Iowa has compared to NdSU

    Love to be on a fly on wall for this, like the Guys going to Iowa or Olenjik from OSU. Sorry smaller program u developed me and trained me along with investing money in me. But these bigger programs now are interested in me even though they never recruited me four years ago.

    Please remember most of these young men turned their back at schools who recruited and invested in them when no one else did. exclude Gomez not sure how many schools he has been at
