  1. Higuchi scored at the exact right time - about a minute into the 2nd. I'm not sure he could've come back from 3-0 down.
  2. Bad news for Higuchi - he needs to fight Spencer's mom now.
  3. Spencer lucky to only give up 2 and have the stand up before the lace. Game on
  4. 2-0. Higuchi thinking, "61s are not this strong."
  5. Big score for Spencer!
  6. Outside trip with no hip control. So tempting...
  7. That should be 1 for KGZ. This ref is a problem.
  8. UKR should get 2 for exposure here
  9. You're assuming Gable wouldn't have kept developing if had kept wrestling. And, I do think he is a superior athlete to Zare. Alas
  10. Rooting for fate to provide a little fairness in the world and for Geno to win gold tomorrow.
  11. Go away troll. There's enough real negativity here today.
  12. I thought Dake didn't get enough credit in those chest wraps, notably the 2-2-1, but the refs felt his hips were grounded in those sitations. Dake lost because of that leg lace. Ref didn't put him in it.
  13. Spoke too soon - they're not letting Agkul away with this.
  14. The problem with being the more aggressive wrestler - losing advantage in the 2nd period with the passivity clock.
  15. Solid GR match going on here. Looks like the ref is going to try to ding Zare to even things up.
  16. Live by the chest wrap, die by the chest wrap 2 games in a row. Bummer.
  17. 2-2-1. Don't see that too often
  18. It's actually a print of the map of Paris. Very cool, although I miss the stuffed animals that past games organizers have given to medal winners.
  19. Lee, Brooks and Maroulis all smartly took end of match penalties in earlier matches today while leading. I think this perspective on late match tactics may be more anecdotal than actual.
  20. Did Taylor wrestle a single match between the 2023 Worlds and the 2024 Trials? I don't believe so. Too many of our top wrestlers are not wrestling enough, IMO.
  21. I will agree he should've finished the 2nd TD against BUL. Totally different match if so. Give the BUL credit - he wrestled through the situation very well instead of giving up.
  22. The Taylor who wrestled at Trials? That Taylor didn't looked like he wanted to be there.
  23. Brooks beat a reigning bronze medalist and a Japanese wrestler who had previously beat him, Z. Valencia and Myles Amine. Brooks' best days are ahead of him - I think he wins if wrestles in 2028, might even win next year. But, his draw was much tougher than many want to acknowledge and, unfortunately, a late mistake cost in his 3rd bout cost him a chance for gold.
