I read this article on RAE: https://rokfin.medium.com/why-content-creators-are-compensated-in-rae-tokens-de60423d1168 Under the heading "Dynamic value" was the following: "Content creators who join a platform early play a vital role in the growth of the platform and its network more so than content creators who join a platform after it has gained scale." Isn't this the textbook definition of a pyramid scheme? Yes, I realize the early employees of Microsoft, Google, and many before them became extremely wealthy. This is the point where I employ Scott Adams' "Which is more likely?" test.

Why don't teams post their own "content"?
BerniePragle replied to Max86's topic in College Wrestling
I like it, whether it "makes sense" or not. I would assume pretty much all D1 schools have an AV/Theater program. The school could give independent study credits for manning/womanning the camera and mic. And there are always kids who like to d*ck around with computers to edit and upload the content. Syracuse U has pretty much the best broadcast journalism program in the country. Oh, they don't have a wrestling program anymore... It's always easy to figure out how not to do something. I worked with many people who that was their "core competency". -
I believe it. I remember a YouTube interview from 2 or 3 years ago. He seemed like a very intelligent, engaging, humble young man.

Ouch. No Lane or Seymour at 125?

Very simple, huh? I guess that's why a half dozen of the smartest people I've run into on here have discussed it for almost two pages. I'll paraphrase your statement: I'll sell you this cup for $100. Then you'll have to pay someone (?) to fill the cup with what you want to drink for an an additional cost (?). Crystal clear.

The cornerstone of "Total Quality Management" as defined and taught by W. Edwards Deming was to meet the customer's requirements. This has been replaced in many of today's companies (especially the "cool kids" typified here), who are concerned only with meeting their own requirements. Customers? We don't need no stinking customers. I simply refuse to play the "bait and switch" game so common with the "content providers" anymore. Clearly and concisely define the cost and the product for the dumb guys like me who are not so good at the fuzzy wuzzy stuff. Oh yeah, and also who dislike surprises

I think the UB wrestler was Noah Grover, also a very good GR wrestler.

Did you have a routine, or superstition?

I was with an old buddy at the NYS tournament quite a few years ago (his two boys were wrestling there). We were watching a match where the brackets showed one kid was 46-0 and the other kid was something like 22-12. The 22-12 kid was pretty much having his way with the #1 seed. My buddy said, "Apparently, that kid doesn't know he's 46-0." I still snicker about that. -

The last time I wrestled was HS. I always blew my nose right after warmups. Our 112/120 pounder was a very good wrestler, but he got very nervous before he wrestled. When the previous match was starting, I'd always get up and start messing with him when he was behind the chairs warming up. I'd always try to get him in a headlock and give him a noogie. It helped to get the ants out of his pants. Our UNL was also very good, but lacked "the killer instinct". I always got in his face just before he wrestled and got him wound up, even if I was totally wiped from wrestling earlier. Good memories. -

Need tips for coaching inner city high school wrestling
BerniePragle replied to okccoach86's topic in High School Wrestling
If you're fortunate enough to know a young man (recent HS or college grad) who was successful at the state or national level, try to get them to come in and give the kids a "pep talk". They could explain what can be accomplished through hard work. A young person may be relateable for the kids. If you don't know anyone, maybe a call to a nearby college or community college could get someone. Maybe this could be a work study/community service credit for the young man. They could maybe even "roll with" the kids a little bit. -
You do realize that Windows interface has gone steadily downhill since Windows 95?

Amos vs Cardenas on 11/19 could be very interesting, assuming both go.

660, 665, whatever it takes.

The 660 lb deadlift won't help him that much in MMA, in my opinion. I suspect he would eat punches, a knee or a foot pretty quickly. Maybe all of them.
