Wow DC took time out from his wrestling commentator gig to worry about what social media is saying. Let alone respond to it. Come on man. I haven’t had much issue with the commentary. Just having JB and him together means we don’t have a true commentator with thorough background knowledge and statistical info. Both of them are good at general knowledge, reacting to play by play situations, and telling stories but they need someone to play off of that has the other factors.

Well I mean if you use that term loosely. A champ of something.

They may have to cut Brooks 4x interview short. Shows already ran over thanks to all the early bricks and blood times. I guess the silver lining is he won’t have time to say much that could insult another major religious group.

Carr had a battle to win for sure but as a former champ I just can’t say it’s completely unexpected.

He was at Cal Baptist. They gave him an offer that he accepted but then he kinda blew up after at the age group World Trials and World Championships. He choose to honor his commitment to them after. If I have this right he competed in two open matches as a redshirt, then decided he needed to look at other options cause Cal Baptist didn’t seem to be a fit for his ambitions. I get Jimbo alway reaching, but I’ll add a legitimate point here. Sure individually some of them didn’t quite make it as far as last year but enter in people moving weights and coming back from injury or redshirts and you get some of that. But on the team side of things the question would be was their “WAR” (in baseball terms) value enough to improve the teams chances. Did that team preform better by adding them to the lineup than if the squad went with who was slotted as the next man up instead. I’d assume that’s a big enough yes for those teams to want to keep diving into the transfer portal to fill some of their gaps until a young recruit develops more.

I can’t recall if he had gotten a few other offers but they weren’t from some of the decent wrestling schools. He took the Cal Baptist offer. Then after went on an amazing run to age level World Medal including beating Haines to make that team. Choose to keep his commitment to Cal Baptist after but he ended up deciding to leave there after participating for them in a couple early season open events. Reopened recruiting and Penn State among others came knocking after being impressed from his age level World Trials and World Championship run. Some of this story was hashed out on the board earlier is the season.

Definition of a late bloomer. Went from just on Cal Baptist radar to now a Big10 Champ possibility.
