  1. Maybe Parco moves up to 57 next year. Wonder if Sutkovic will be the starter at 197 or if it is going to be Montalvo. Negron and Valencia back to back will be interesting. I also wonder if Ruiz will RS or if they'll go with him over McClane.
  2. Vasquez looked like he has recovered nicely. No Larkin though.
  3. I think it just incentivized more stalling. Don't like the 3.
  4. @Jimmy Cinnabon are you too good to pay your debts?
  5. https://thesundevils.com/news/2023/10/18/Art_Martori.aspx
  6. I wonder what Sunkist Kids ceasing operations is going to do to ASU wrestling.
  7. Too bad they couldn't get Truax and Olejnik to transfer. That would have been a very stout lineup. I really hope Vasquez can stay healthy. He is such a good wrestler.
  8. They got Chance McLane from Oklahoma State at 165.
  9. It sounds like somebody didn't like him very much.
  10. How was it a mistrial? Just because somebody doesn't testify doesn't automatically mean mistrial. Any competent prosecutor isn't going to trial without enough evidence to bury somebody. One witness/victim isn't enough. Also just because it was a mistrial doesn't mean they couldn't try again. Generally a mistrial happens they don't just give up.
  11. Not true. The decision on whether to charge somebody rests on the local authorities. A victim can refuse to cooperate which makes winning a case a lot tougher.
  12. I don't think that is accurate at all.
  13. It isn't perfect there. Dug addicts exist and there are problems. Some people don't want help or whatever. But it is better than making lifelong criminals and taking away chances for people who get busted with small amounts. Take away the incentive for the cartels, tax it or better yet deal it yourself. The cartels would move to something else but taking away their trade of opioids would ruin them. It's too bad nobody running for president has the stones to say this.
  14. If the government followed a model like Portugal, decriminalized drugs and treated drug addiction like a health problem, the cost of doing so would be roughly 1/4 the cost of what is spent on enforcement, court costs and incarceration of people who are drug addicts. Not to mention the other associated crimes like theft, etc. You are right if this happened, the cartels would crater financially pretty quickly.
  15. I saw it. I will say the official story when I read it sounded kind of strange. Not that I believe what Ward said, but would that be the most surprising thing ever? No.
  16. He would have had 2 All Americans right around his weight to practice with during his redshirt year. Iowa State didn't have that. Combine that with Bobby coaching him.
  17. Imagine if Bobby never left ASU. Cael probably would have been a Sun Devil.
  18. He also was letting guys who were grayshirting practice with the team and giving them money. Frank Trigg said that he had been recruited out of community college and was practicing with the team at Oklahoma State before he ever enrolled.
  19. Did they play Living La Vida Loca?
  20. I guess we will have to wait another year for the glorious Kazakh national anthem.
  21. Kayyalp goes down. One of the bigger upsets of this tournament.
  22. Byers didn't wrestle in college and only started Greco after he had joined the Army. The only person offhand I can think of from that team was Harry who dropped out of Iowa State to do Greco full time at NMU. Most of the rest had been pretty damn good college wrestlers. Vering won an NCAA title, Durlacher was a runner up. The problem is guys who might do Greco don't want to with MMA being a more lucrative route.
