I think there's a big difference between disorderly conduct and murder or serious felony crimes. Getting a charge for something stupid like that or trespassing isn't a big deal. The amount of foreign people around here who get arrested for trespassing because they don't understand the way things work is surprisingly high.

For good reason too.

If somebody is committing crimes that often then it's surprising they're not in jail.

Because they do things that aren't a big deal. I helped get a guy a green card once who had a DUI. He was facing removal, but we were able to get the removal order vacated and he ended up getting his green card a few months later. There's lots of others who do extraordinarily stupid things that are relatively minor and wouldn't warrant a deportation. For example, disorderly conduct. That's such a catchall for doing anything in public the police or somebody else don't like. Shouting too loudly could be considered disorderly conduct. People get arrested for things like that frequently. Does that mean somebody should be deported over it? I'd rather deport serious criminals who commit violent crimes.

If we're going back to near history, Thom Ortiz was fired at ASU in 2009 I think. Then his successor Shawn Charles was fired in 2014 to bring in Zeke Jones.

There's nothing new to report. Most people who have a functional brain can read between the lines and figure out that Trump just kept the trophy and never had any intentions of returning it. The Club World Cup is different from the actual World Cup that is being held next year. The players in the CWC don't really care because the CWC has had a few different iterations, and they are all highly paid professionals who are paid very well to play. The trophy isn't as meaningful or iconic as the actual World Cup trophy. To them it's more of an annoyance and something they can laugh off. It would be like if all the best basketball teams from professional leagues around the world held a tournament to see who the best was. Probably all of those players would be extremely wealthy already, and being paid extra for this, so to them these things are somewhat trivial and a joke because they are playing for money and bragging rights. Just an example, suppose LeBron James team won something like that, I doubt he'd do much more than laugh about how stupid it was to keep the trophy and pocket a medal. So to other highly paid athletes it's not as serious as the World Cup. People know Trump is a career con artist and a thief. He's proven it many times with his actions. So it's not surprising he would just keep the trophy and pocket a medal he didn't earn, because he knows he's more likely to get away with it because he's president. Kind of like when he admitted to peeping at teenage girls undressing backstage at a beauty pageant he owned.

Club World Cup is different from the actual World Cup. Also the original trophy is never given to the president of the country to keep.

There's actual video of him reaching for the medal to hand back just after Trump slips it into his pocket. Also he didn't just let Trump keep the trophy, Trump just kept it. Of course he's not going to say that it wasn't supposed to go to Trump. Just like when Putin took a Super Bowl ring.

That doesn't mean it's not true. There's video of him pocketing a medal. The head of FIFA isn't going to tell him he can't have it, or that he can't keep the trophy intended for the CWC winners. FIFA might pull the games from the US anyway. So just because it's not in the news now doesn't mean it didn't happen. Unless you have the attention span of a goldfish.

It's a select few, and the native organization behind them wanting to change the name back was funded by the former owner of the team. Sports Illustrated (SI) investigated the various pro-Redskins organizations that spoke or wrote on behalf of Daniel Snyder in court, and found that most were receiving multi-thousand dollar donations from the Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation (WROAF), which was founded by Snyder. Specifically, SI found that NAGA received $68,360 from WROAF shortly before an amicus curiae the group made in favor of retaining the Redskins name went public.

Illegal immigrants aren't necessarily criminals. Most of them are just economic refugees who just wanted to earn a better living. Until you're in that position, crossing the border and coming here to work a low wage job, is worth dying for to them. If it meant a better life for you and your family would you take that risk? There's bigger things at stake than crossing a border.

1. Using that term is basically like using the N word. It's not acceptable. Some people might not have a problem with it, but many do. Names change all the time. We had a kerfuffle about it locally because they changed a bunch of street names, school names and park names because somebody figured out the people those things were named after had been members of the KKK. 2.
