  1. Swalwell followed the USIC's guidelines for reporting a foreign intelligence contact to the letter. McCarthy is mad at Schiff for being a better person.
  2. Nice link. I'd doubt anything coming out of this org. You're engaging in confirmation bias.
  3. If it almost never happens and they're making a huge deal about it on 'moral' grounds, then they're you're being manipulated to intentionally keep you furious. It's a form of control.
  4. How many pregnancies does the Born Alive act address per year?
  5. Wow
  6. Is that you, Dan?
  7. Thank goodness they've decided to work on the things that affect the paying customers the most.
  8. I don't see how starting a women's program and then engineering its failure will help a men's program at the same institution.
  9. I'm also working towards a similar goal. Hopefully, we can get there together...
  10. The Chaos Caucus is coming in a full of piss and vinegar, but the rest of the republicans don't want most of what the CC wants. That's before any legislation gets to the Senate or the President's desk. I predict lots of performance art and very, very little actual legislative work getting done.
  11. 1. It is limited to the Rs only. It's a loaded gun in the hands of an angry circus chimp. 2. They'll make big noises and milk it for campaign contributions but nothing will change. 3. Moot. Agreed. 4. Recipe for chaos as each rep holds each section of the budget hostage. This will be the single largest impediment to getting a budget through in several decades. 5. This is in congress' lap. If they want things done differently, then they need to pass legislation to change things. It will never happen as too many businesses rely on migrant labor. P.S. The War on Drugs never worked. At all. 6. XBB1.5 is going to be a real barnburner. Put a pin in this post. China is a real time 1.7B person gain-of-function experiment, We should be gearing up to protect people from these next variants, which may be substantially worse. 7. Under which party's presidents was made the debt larger? Care to guess?
  12. So much for everything being above board... https://punchbowl.news/archive/1923-punchbowl-news-am/ Good luck, Kevin. You're going to need it.
  13. At some schools there's not much support from the AD, no paid assistant coaches, no clerical help and these first time coaches are being setup for failure.
  14. Zero. You have to be a part of the majority caucus to offer Motion to Vacate the Speaker. I don't think they have any realistic chance to go anywhere. I think these 'proposals' arise from people with limited understanding of how government actually works. Here's a pretty good article on The Deal https://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2023/Items/Jan09-1.html
  15. How the hell did you screw up the quote tags that badly?
  16. Dude, You replied to my post with that diatribe without mentioning anyone else. Who the ***duck duck goose** else should I be thinking that's aimed at unless you specify?
  17. 1. I didn't make this thread. 2. I'm not outraged. 3. I'm talking about athlete safety, particularly at the middle and high school level. 4. Chill.
  18. You know what I mean. Like having both boots in and running a power half against someone pinned to the mat with no way to turn. These are moves designed to inflict punishment.
  19. What information are you interested in?
  20. I'm firmly in the 'safety of the athlete comes first' camp. At least at middle/high school levels, I'd much rather see moves that have a higher chance to go sideways and hurt an athlete go away. Preempting all of the "maybe a different sport..." wannabee tough guy responses, my daughter never runs punishment moves like this and she's done OK.
  21. To be clearer, I was talking about high school wrestling. If the Bow and Arrow becomes a Back Bow, it's illegal under NFHS rules.
  22. Gym prefers to look the other way.
  23. The biggest problem I see with moves like this is that local refs won't know when it becomes illegal and won't make the call.
  24. Was Matt Schlapp there?
