    I don't know. There wasn't any sort of rationale provided. If I were guessing, I'd bet it's something to do with the long downtime around COVID.

    I sure wish UWW did full double elimination wrestle back to a single third place brackets.

    Keep in mind that 'seeding' will follow UWW rules and only points from the 2022 Worlds in Serbia will count for seeding at this tournament. I've been digging into the women's brackets and there are a lot of bracket breakers loose in the field who will be drawn in randomly.
