  1. They key is to recruit Columbus East kids haha
  2. Who is IU's best wrestler this year? I haven't followed them this year, is it still Donnell Washington?
  3. I always like watching someone new to coaching yelling the whole "just stand up" - granted at times you get the kid who is just laying there, but generally if it was that easy they would get up I've really stopped yelling during most matches and do the majority of tweaks between periods or any downtime (injury/blood/etc..) - honestly I think giving looks of approval and affirming what they are doing is working and providing small pointers is better than just yelling crap the entire time
  4. Coach Nick Spatola is awesome and so is his off-season tournament - have been going since it was hosted at Cincinnati Tech
  5. In Indiana, our girl's state starts this weekend (it goes Regionals and then State) Granted its not put on by the IHSAA, rather the IHSGW until it becomes a sanctioned sport (right now it's classified as emerging until it hits a certain number of participants, then the state will sanction it)
  6. I appreciate how easy the Kentucky rankings are to use/read (being a simple PDF with tables versus having to scroll thru stuff)

  8. 2x what everyone is saying, I'm stuck with an Adidas contract supplied a local shop and we have to get our orders in July/August to get them in time for season... We order the bare minimum for the contract and then have the "club" supply the rest thru another supplier
  9. 2FA is good to enable, but don't go the SMS route (https://securityboulevard.com/2021/12/why-using-sms-authentication-for-2fa-is-not-secure/, https://krebsonsecurity.com/2016/09/the-limits-of-sms-for-2-factor-authentication/), try to use a tool such as the Google Authenticator (1Pass has the ability be to used a 2FA, https://support.1password.com/one-time-passwords/)

  11. Tonight's dual will be streamed on https://www.buknightssportsnetwork.com/ with your's truly on the mic, the action starts at 7PM I haven not seen the lineup yet so no insight there outside of the Bellarmine group has been putting in work
  12. Bellarmine is hosting Lindenwood tonight, can be streamed at https://www.buknightssportsnetwork.com/
  13. It'll be a split event for me, having attended Lindenwood but a Bellarmine fan - got my new Lindenwood shirt in the mail yesterday but will rock a Bellarmine hat
  14. This Wednesday, new D1 Lindenwood will be wrestling the Knights at home at 7PM.... Should be a great dual and the first home one of the season Thoughts?
  15. This quote, 2x
  16. If your team does any type of online work, what does it look like? Interested in what other folks are doing We built out some during COVID and still use them for Holiday workouts (like the day after Thanksgiving) when numbers would traditionally be low, see our stance motion workout (it will auto go to the next move, announce it, and has a ticker, so we do a Google Meet, present the screen, and make everyone have the cameras on)
  17. If Trump loses the primary to (assuming) DeSantis, does he run as a third party and then siphon off the vote? In that case does Newsom decide to run (right now he says no) and sweep the election with a splintered GOP vote?
  18. from Mitch McConnell (https://www.businessinsider.com/mitch-mcconnell-never-predicted-red-wave-voters-frightened-republicans-2022-11) Interesting article with some data... https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/11/15/data-trump-weighed-down-republican-candidates/ Would seem to me that the hardcore GOP members still love Trump, however moderates and independents do not and if the party wants to win, they need to move away from Trump and become more moderate

  20. Cool thing I noticed you can do with clubs is the ability to add pages to the club I went ahead and added Bellarmine's schedule to the club for instance, https://intermatforums.com/clubs/page/1-schedule/
  21. I did commentating for the first time last year for Bellarmine's home meets, wayyyy harder than I would have ever thought it would be. I took more of the color approach while my partner did the play by play, but with wrestling since it happens so fast and in spurts, it was hard to transition well
  22. Some more ideas from what we do here , it's a little old at this point but hopefully can get some ideas out of it
  23. Just a heads up, the Knights RTC is a full go now. On the RTC roster currently there is Michael Tortorice, who placed top eight at the Freestyle World Team Trials and was runner-up at 57 kg at Bill Farrell. https://knightsrtc.com/
  24. My issue is the jump between 175 and 190, thats a huge gap (granted only two pounds more compared from 182 to 195) but I'm off the mindset of more upper weight classes to get more athletes out. For my high school, we end up with a ton of football players all between 200 and 285 and only two weight classes for them. We wrestle in both Indiana and Kentucky during the season, so it's gonna be fun flipping between the two different weight class systems this year. Last year it wasn't too bad, but it sucks for the 182lber since now its either cut to 175 or gain to 190 but be ready the next weekend for 182.
  25. We do a lot of toe tag (we do hands to the foot), sharks and minnows, bone fight, and king of the ring (decent amount of kids start in a circle, can't come out of a bear crawl, have to either get pushed out of the circle or turned)
