  1. No one is claiming they aren't a solid duo. It's a pushback back on Jimmy's incessant troll jobs.
  2. Officially can only use Soph year Taylor/Ruth...
  3. "All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others". Norman Georgewell
  4. @BobDole any way to free up some space for WKN?
  5. Lot's of great duo's from the past. Got the 80's, 90's, 2000's covered for you... @Wrestleknownothing I mentioned the Cowboy duo from '05. McLlravy/Williams '97, Shultz brothers '82, Banach's '83, Scherr's '84 Nebraska's best duo?? Dresser/Hefferman '86 Krieger/Carter '87 Alger/Chiapparelli '87 Brands '90 & '92 McLlravy/Steiner '93 Mollica/Miller '93 ASU's best duo?? Randleman/Holman '93 Smith/Branch '94 Mariannetti/Benion '95 Williams/Weber '96 Moore/Guerrero '98 Ironside/McGinnes '98 Schwab/TJ '99 Lawrence/Becker '02 Varner/Zabriskie '10
  6. So who do you have as your best single season duo?
  7. For sure and I think the OP is quite the fine fella for bringing this convo over from twitter/X. But we can also change it up a little and look at it from different angles
  8. Obviously not. I asked Wkn if he could compile two charts. One being the best single season duo. Taylor/Ruth has to be up there in the rankings. We can also see where duo's like 05' Hendricks/Pendleton stack up
  9. Placed 2nd twice. One of those years lost to Mikey Labs
  10. Ruth/Taylor 2012
  11. They only wrestled 1-2 for one year. @Wrestleknownothing can you categorize best career duo and best single season duo?
  12. Don't forget Hendricks/Pendleton ('05) They were pretty salty
  13. Thats a dynamite combo. There you go @Jon_Kozak for FRL...Fantasy matchup vs Zain/Nolf
  14. Like clockwork and had to make the one idiotic comment
  15. I'm assuming. @Husker_Du ??? Maybe a one weight gap? Curious how Taylor/Ruth ('14) compares to Zain/Nolf's ('17) best year
  16. A gem of a convo on Willie's Twitter/X account & perfect for the summer. @Wrestleknownothing fire up the data!
  17. This one is a little outside the box but I think Travis Lee fits the bill. Prior to his run at Junior Nationals his Sr year he was overlooked by all the top coaches except Koll. The wrestler from Hawaii wasn't getting much love in HS. He is also the spark that propelled the Cornell program. I'd put him at the top of the list for this category.
  18. Hammer drops a best selling Autobiography titled, "Over My Head"
  19. I remember this topic from a year ago. Guys from PA with no PIAA titles. Some with Prep Titles. Credit goes to @lu_alum
  20. Shows up and finds the doors locked at Lied Rec and Hilton Coliseum. Flags down a Paper Router coming by on his bike and snags a newspaper. Front Page Title, "Larry Owings Named New Athletic Director for the Iowa State Cyclones." Dan grips the paper tightly and snarks, "Newman".
  21. Stone Cold Steve Austin glass shatters theme song comes on in Rec Hall. Rob Koll walks out in his State College High School singlet to take on Burroughs and reclaim his hometown. Typical Koll CEO move he delegates it off to a lawyer and tries to find a legal loophole
  22. My bad. Didn't realize this was a tourney only thread. But yes, was including regular season
  23. I'm genuinely confused. He's wrestled more than 6 OT matches
