  1. That's brilliant. Count me in
  2. - Okie State looking for their first win in Carver since 2012 ( @ionel fact check) - KOT wrestling to be Mizzou's 2nd 3X NCAA Champ - Bono's last year @ Wiscy? - Pritzlaff starts his coaching career at Columbia - Where does Marcus Blaze commit to - Does Kolat get his 2nd AA this year (Koderhandt)
  3. @Fred & @Interviewed_at_Weehawken should start a podcast called, "WE HATE STATE"
  4. @ILLINIWrestlingBlog great list...I don't particularly have a favorite. Depends what mood I'm in. But for me best movie ever made is "There Will Be Blood" "One night, I'm gonna come to you, inside of your house, wherever you're sleeping, and I'm gonna cut your throat."
  5. You have to ask Puritan Grand Master @Interviewed_at_Weehawken...Only he knows what's ethical
  6. Verbal commitment's are not binding. They are unofficial. It has alway been that way. Sure we can argue using the word "commitment" but it has never been anything more than stating that at that moment the athlete has one particular school as his/her leader.
  7. This is not true. This is another thread of your's trying in any way shape or form to shit on Penn State again. Plenty of athletes verbally commit and still take visits to other schools prior to signing. You're just making shit up. A verbal commitment is nothing more than saying, "hey i right now I'm vibing with this school."
  8. Can speak from personal experience. A verbal is nothing more than a verbal. Until there is a signature the recruitment is open. Nothing unethical about it. Some go the "do not contact" route and that was respected.
  9. Of course you can. It's part of the fun. David Taylor is still undefeated against Dake.
  10. Valid point. More fun if my question is open ended and you can interpret the question however you'd like. As for Pyles his exact quote is, "The best wrestler that Carter Starocci will ever face is gonna be in his senior year." I still believe that's debatable
  11. Pyles posted on X (formerly known as twitter) proposing Parker will be Carter's toughest opponent on the road to winning a title. Maybe I'm biased as a PA boy but for me I'd put SR citizen KemDog vs Freshman Carter as his biggest obstacle. Curious to read where you fellas are at on this topic
  12. Is this in response to me? Because if so I will gladly respond.
  13. The answer is fairly simple. Iran has a strong secular population and both Dems and Republicans believe a friendly relationship is a bridge we can mend in the future. Israel also has strong ties to that same secular population. As for Russia both parties (D&R) have tried to maintain some sort of relationship with Putin. It's not a negative. The remnants of the Iron Curtain is on its last leg and it is important we keep an open dialogue. It would be far worse for our future if Russia lands in the lap of China. Lots of stupidity in this thread
  14. Little further back but would Brock Lesnar count?
  15. Cael is a state champ from Utah.
  16. Part of the reason why GOAT conversations are silly is because we all have our interpretations of what qualifies someone as the Goat. I would never argue it because the results don't add up but I still think Cary Kolat is the best US wrestler to take the mat in freestyle. I think he's the most talented American to do it. I'd put Spencer Lee as a close second. Maybe even first. IMO their freestyle skills far surpass JB, Dave Schultz, Bruce, John Smith etc. But they don't have the hardware to enter the conversation.
  17. If anyone can get themselves out of suffocating cement, spread their wings and fly it's certainly you
  18. What are we arguing? Carter said he could go 197 or heavyweight. Emphasis on the word "could". That's different than what you implied. I do believe his trash talking to Ferrari about 190 was childish and low
  19. I don't ever remember him saying he was going 197. He said he could when talking about his dad calling him up telling him to do it but he wasn't sure if his dad was joking. Cael was the one that said, "Carter 197 pound NCAA champ". He did say it was possible.
  20. WKN, thank you for doing this. I've got another one. Little more challenging. Transfer portal success since 2018/2019 season. To qualify wrestler must've competed in his conference tournament prior to transferring. Wrestlers like Mesenbrink wouldn't count
  21. The parody will be when @Jon_Kozak and the boys at FRL steal this topic and present it as their own
  22. High Five emoji!
  23. Did a bad job of requesting the data. Wanted the data starting from the 1998-1999 season
