  1. Despite Nick Lee's best efforts, Zain is going to the Olympics!
  2. Game day buckets go boom! Zain beat the shit out of him.
  3. Hey may not be there....
  4. LET'S F U C K I N G GO BABY!
  5. The speed was startling, given what he meant to the that program. I think maybe they assumed he would be Cael's heir and this is their way of working thru it.
  6. Finally some chinks in the PSU armor.
  7. Lol, come on dude. I think like the second thing Pyles Tweeter when he brought up the possibility of Taylor being hired was that he would expect Kennedy and Gilman to go with him.
  8. As previously mentioned, Starocci's own coach did way worse, so that's funny.
  9. Who knows? Most of what Carter does is schtick. These are the first truky public signs of any dissension amongst the Penn State guys, but, again, it's Carter, so it's possible it's all schtick.
  10. My understanding is it was closer to 125 million cents.
  11. It's on the list, I promise, but the sports traveling is a more recent phenomenon for me, and this would likely be a solo trip for a 2 hour event, and Iowa hasn't had a real shot at being competitive since I started the sports trips.
  12. I hate everything. Actually, I'm in a great mood, just got done watching the Knicks win in the Garden, absolutely incredible live experience. But I hate this. Yes this is a humblebrag to distract myself from this terrible news.
  13. Nobody told Nickal that Taylor was going to be out, so he went 92 kg instead. The idea being that Nickal would have likely won a medal at 86 kg and got to sit out.
  14. Given what is alleged to have happened with Nickal after Taylor's injury, it would be a bit rich for Taylor to be pissed about it.
  15. The op quite literally frames the idea of Okie State talking to anybody as ridiculous.
  16. If you're trying to tell me that Iowa City is not a bustling metropolis designed to appeal to young people...that seems about right. Iowa definitely doesn't recruit based on locale, I would guess it's based on history of success combined with insane atmosphere. If I had been good enough and had the option, I definitely would have wanted to wrestle for Iowa with those crowds...of coruse when I would have gone would have been the Zalesky years, so maybe....
  17. I've said this before, but just as an FYI, I've never set foot in the state of Iowa. Not a single toe. I was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived there for awhile, but have spent most of my life in Florida. I think I just assumed Colorado was mountainous everywhere, but that trip to Greeley....
  18. I usually take a longer forum break after NCAAs and trials, but this topic dragged me back in, lol.
  19. So because one guy surpassed him, it's not developmental win? WTF are you talking about? Desanto developed TREMENDOUSLY at Iowa, he just never won a title and one guy developed even more. Sucks, but it happens. The idea that the only guys who develop places are the ones who win national title denigrates literally 99.99% of the wrestlers in collegiate history.
  20. I am purposely trying to be as vague as I can. I understand that's kind of a dick move. But I am very much NOT saying the person actually transferred. He might have. Might not.
  21. Your specific comment doesn't apply in this scenario. Maybe you could fairly argue that the guys in the Iowa room break down after 5 years, but in the first two? Not really.
