  1. In an ideal world, they would just beef up the already existing department; a new department doing something that already exists is inherently wasteful. But no, I don't have a problem with trying to curb wasteful spending.
  2. There it is, wow, you nailed me to the wall with that one.
  3. Nobody is defending the mistake (that was apparently made by Kozak per above). The two things are separate from one another. The only people that needed an apology were apologized to. They're allowed to also comment on the attacks levied against them. Those are not something they caused or generated, nobody had to write them. Nobody besides the Blaze family was entitled to an apology. To me this is just all people who already don't like Flo and Pyles grabbing onto another reason to go at them/him.
  4. Just utter nonsense, lol. Now your complaint is wkn and I haven't spoken enough? WKN and I have both made our positions very clear. He an I both have an issue with Musk's massive and obvious conflicts of interest. Neither have commented on Ramaswamy, I don't know why he hasn't, I haven't directly commented because I'm not sure what kind of government contracts he has, I just know he has a biotech company. Separate from the above, I specifically (not WKN, this is my thing) have been advocating for two separate things: this office already exists, and the government just hasn't followed their recommendations, and also that I think a person without business conflicts whose sole job (and their experience in this field) should be the one in charge of the job. I know, I know, trying to hire someone with experience in a very complicated field is anathema now, anybody could do any job in the world. They can cut waste because they're businessmen, because businesses never have waste and, also, the government isn't a business. You do all this because of your previously held beliefs, and then call me (and others) tribal. Anyway, I still love you. EDIT: Oh, and someone asked me for specific non-Musk suggestions, and I gave serious thought to them, and made two recommendations of people in the specific field with qualifications with no known conflicts.
  5. I don't understand. The two things were separate. Pyles apologized, said it was there error. Separately, he (rightfully) called out the white knighting of people who claimed they were so aghast at the error and how it ruined Blaze's moment, all while conveniently amplifying the news so MORE people saw it (thus exacerbating Blaze's perceived loss) just to dunk on Flo/get the street cred. He never said it was other people's fault that Flo screwed up. The way people act as apology police is insane to me. "He apologized, but not in the exact way I arbitrarily wanted him to!"
  6. There clearly is a personal issue. Willie reposted a video from Martin a month or so ago where Martin again went hard in the paint after Pyles. It seemed to be related to Pyles allegedly telling people he was concerned with Martin's mental health.
  7. Great. Now read about what he did while in that role (and what that role entails). He literally fits exactly with the worldview Trump and co are espousing, but without any of the massive conflicts. Oh, and he's not famous. And actually has experience in the field in question.
  8. Sigh. It does exist in government. The role that is being designed for....sigh....D.O.G.E. already exists, and is not typically listened to or followed. The two people i mentioned that have been shot down as "failed" have had no role in governmental budget oversight. They work in a budget thinktank that focuses entirely on looking at government waste. Meanwhile Elon and Vivek are two corporate oligarchs with massive conflicts who also have other businesses and other roles that make this, a thing they have no experience in, little more than a hobby.
  9. Thank you for illustrating, perfectly, the issue of having a massively conflicted person involved.
  10. ... they haven't had that role. Seriously you guys don't have to talk if you don't know what you're talking about.
  11. Your whole post just takes a flawed premise and demands it be accepted as true.
  12. You've now said that twice, betraying your lack of knowledge, which of course won't stop you. How have they had a crack at the apple and failed?
  13. I literally pulled two people much more qualified just off the top of my head. It's not utopian. Yeah, they spoke in 2020 too And you all really shut the eff up for that term.
  14. Now you're just running recycled material from @ionel. Uninformed people just confidently speaking on things thingare uninformed on is just *chefs kiss*.
  15. We get it, man. You revel in your ignorance and lack of understanding of anything.
  16. Everybody is lying except the people I'm a fan of! You give a long list of specific concerns, his response is "nuh uh."
  17. How did they fail? Are you under the impression that the CRFB is a governmental organization?
  18. Would like to, or do I think is reasonable in the context of Trump is president? I'll take the second one. How about Mitch Daniels or Mara MacGuineas?
  19. LOL we're so cooked.
  20. Utopia is "don't put a person with huge, billion dollar conflicts of interest in charge of an area that he directly benefits from." Staggering stuff.
  21. Sounds like somebody will be using the genetic fallacy going forward. Love you, boo bear.
  22. I have already said, multiple times, the issue is with who he's tapping and the method of execution. There is already an office whose role it is to do these things, he could add muscle and teeth to their operation, but instead he has to do the big, showy, and inherently inefficient thing of creating a whole new office.
  23. Again, I'm being asked to just assume that whatever Elon, a man with no governmental experience, says is fat is fat, and directly, the answer is "not necessarily, if the other related effects are even worse." That's the point most of you refuse to acknowledge, rarely is the answer with something as complicated as government a black and white thing with a silver bullet answer.
