Big fan of the Smith pickup for the Bucks. Personally preferred him over Norman. This move MIGHT bump the Bucks into the top 5 preseason. I still think 149 is open between Kade Brown and Shaw, with Brown emerging as the starter. Could be the only weight where AA is considered a long shot.

Brown is pretty solidified over Shaw for me

Shaw a highly touted recruit out of PA. Hasn't done much in 2 years to stand by that. Brown 0-2 at NCAAs, maybe makes a jump being in Columbus, his lil bro the blue chipper should take a RS this season.

Do you think that a RS is going to be qavailable?

Yes I want to see Bouzakis finish his last year as a starter and hopefully AA, 141 is the only weight for a shot of that happening. I don't think Karson beats Bouzakis right now.

Maybe he bumps to 149- Does he mind taking a spot from his older brother if he can beat him? I think he has a great chance but have never seen Karson wrestle above 138 off memory.

So you don't believe the 'five for five' is going to happen?

If 5 for 5 passes redshirts won't be a thing anymore.  Of course, a top recruit could just practice their first year and pretend it's a redshirt and then compete for four years, but I don't think a lot of blue-chippers will want to do that though.

Just going by current regulations right now. I’m all for it. If it happens I’ll definitely circle back to this topic.

The Espinoza-Owens brothers, Moses and Marcus, announced their transfer from SDSU to Utah Valley.

Kinda rough for SDSU, couple solid wrestlers. Seems sort of like a lateral move program-wise for the brothers. Might even consider it a step back from where SDSU is and looks like they are trying to get to.

They are both from Utah, so maybe it was more about returning home?

What lineup do you have that has them at 9 with a good shot at AA? I can’t remember what their lineup looks like currently with additions and stuff, this is a genuine question. They brought in a 197, right? Or is Shumate the guy? Or Rogotzke. And Birden at 165?

Kilkeary, Davino, Bouzakis, Brown?, Cannon, Birden?, Smith, Fishback, Shumate?, Feldman

is this accurate?

Thank you, I knew I was missing at least one

With Stiles and Cannon you maybe bump Birden out then? I feel like, barring weight issues, that’s a slightly better lineup, if you can get Stiles right for the entire season

Projected Lineup Post Transfers

125 - Kilkeary (Dom pushes)

133 - Davino

141 - Bouzakis (Karson Brown pushes)

149 - Kade Brown (Shaw pushes)

157 - Stiles

165 - Cannon

174 - Smith

184 - Fishback

197 - Rogotzke (Shumate pushes)

Heavy - Feldman

I realistically see Davino, Cannon, Smith (if healthy), Fishback and Feldman AA…
