As RV would say it’s such a small number it’s no big deal.  There so many other things far more important to concern ourselves with than having to show an ID.

Confirmed Cases under Obama

  1. Davino Watson

    • Watson, who was a U.S. citizen, was detained by ICE as though he were a deportable immigrant for nearly 3½ years. NPR

    • He repeatedly told authorities he was a citizen and submitted evidence, but officials acted on bad or incomplete records. NPR

    • He was eventually released, and a court awarded him damages, though later an appeals court overturned the money award due to statute of limitations rules. NPR

  2. Mark Daniel Lyttle

    • Lyttle, a U.S. citizen born in North Carolina, was wrongfully deported to Mexico in 2008 following errors (including false recording of his citizenship status and birthplace). Wikipedia+1

    • He later managed to return. Wikipedia

  3. Antonio Montejano

    • In 2011, under the Secure Communities program, Antonio (a U.S.-born citizen) was held in detention for four days because of an immigration hold triggered by erroneous database information. Even after a judge ordered his release, authorities detained him further due to the ICE detainer. ACLU of Southern California+1

Your whataboutism doesn’t help your point. A wrong act is a wrong act. I can say Obama was wrong for allowing a department under his watch to do these. Can you say that about 47?
Can you find 2297+ more examples Obama did in 8 years vs the last 7 months of 47’s term? If you can’t your whataboutism is worthless and proves you’re in a cult.

Dems don’t get to complain about how a problem they created is getting cleaned up.  If the border isn’t left wide open none of this happens.

Let's say you think your article is absolutely correct.   How sure are you?

If it is correct, then you pointed to something that would be very very bad to be happening.   And all people should be appalled.

If it is shown to be misleading and incorrect, you would agree to go into a cage match with Jon Jones and he will have no mercy.

How convinced are you that this article is correct?

There is no evidence your 2300 opinion is correct.  Your evidence definitely does not meet @1032004 standard.

Key Details on the Detention of U.S. Citizens under Obama:

Systemic Errors: U.S. citizens were detained in local jails after ICE agents, using flawed information from DHS databases, instructed police to hold them for investigation and potential deportation.

Prevalence: While exact numbers are hard to determine because they were not systematically recorded, data indicated that over a 50-month period (FY 2008–2012), ICE issued detainers on 28,834 U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents.

Duration of Detention: In some cases, citizens were held in detention for extended periods before their status was corrected.

Underlying Causes: The high volume of removals—often over 400,000 annually at the peak—led to a, reliance on "Secure Communities" and expedited, non-judicial removal processes that lacked proper due process

I read it. The politico reporter cherry picked some cases to pull at the reader's heart strings, but there is nothing to substantiate the claim of 2,300+ of anything other than tears.

You must be a parody poster. You're a cliche of libtardism.

COMMON DREAMS .ORG LOLOLOL

Such a fair and unbiased and trusted source.  Profanity right in the headlines.

FWIW, the source isn’t really whatever the heck CommonDreams.org is, it is Kyle Cheney of Politico.   I’m sure most here will say that isn’t any better, but just clarifying.  I haven’t really looked into this that closely to make a determination either way.

That's some think tank level liberalism. You must be an extra special libtard. You must love the fact that libtard is gender neutral.
