Can we talk about how Sergio Vega went from a guy that use to just throw the kitchen sink at guys and try and be the guy with the most points at the end to potentially the stingiest guy in college wrestling right now? 12-0 no takedowns given up and 12 points given up on the year.

Sat by Segio's brother and dad on flight into Stillwater, good people.  I'm sure they had a great weekend.

He has always seemed like a good kid. His interview after he beat Davino at super 32 which was kind of when he burst on the scene I recall being very good.

I'm seeing multiple people report that it still only counts as one event for some reason. I might have to do some digging on it, but I would assume flo or basch will touch on it this week as well.

I can’t remember who or where, but I heard a coach say something about how now Friday-Sunday duals get a weight allowance now and I don’t think they used to, so could be somehow related to that?

If it were a quad all on Saturday it could count as one event, not a Fri then Sun dual, those have always been two.

That’s what I thought, just reporting what the OK State announcers said.  But then again one of them seemed to think ISU’s 133 from Cuba was Jewish when they kept calling him “Diverstein”

Which announcer?  Depending on who you are talking about could explain a lot.

@Cornell Kevin said there is apparently a rule that one weekend of duals can count as one date (I suppose that meant you can only do that one weekend for the year), so that Jax is actually at 4 dates.  Whatever he does this weekend will be 5, then if he wrestles against Iowa that would officially burn the shirt.
