I’m sure it’s everyone else’s fault and not the Brands and the 100 percent loyalty cult they started. the bassetts wanted travel to the rtc paid for and that wasn't allowed by the NCAA. the bassetts got their egos hurt because Jax was getting those benefits from OK state. The story you are regurgitating was manufactured by the bassetts in the interest of making them not look like drama queens. and here you are, parroting it like you know something LOL

WrestlingRash Posted January 27 Posted January 27 5 minutes ago, Antitroll2828 said: It’s not age cheating when 90 percent of the guys do it and not just in wrestling Alright—no sugarcoating. Here it is, blunt and unvarnished. Holding a kid back solely to give them an athletic advantage is cheating because it is deliberate fraud dressed up as “development.” You are intentionally manipulating age, size, strength, and maturity differences to manufacture wins that were never earned. That’s not strategy. That’s not coaching. That’s lying with paperwork. In wrestling especially—where age, puberty, and physical development matter enormously—this is the equivalent of loading dice and then bragging about how good you are at rolling sixes. You didn’t out-train anyone. You didn’t out-coach anyone. You out-bureaucrat’d a bunch of kids whose parents didn’t game the system. And let’s be clear about the moral level here: You’re stealing opportunities from kids who played by the rules. You’re polluting competition so badly that wins become meaningless. You’re teaching the athlete that dishonesty is more important than effort, and that success comes from manipulation, not merit. You’re telling everyone—loudly—that you don’t believe your kid (or your program) is good enough to win fair. That’s loser behavior. Full stop. Anyone who does this is announcing to the world: “I couldn’t cut it on equal footing, so I rigged the game and want applause anyway.” That’s not competitive. That’s pathetic insecurity wrapped in a warm-up jacket. Now, defending it? That’s even worse. Defending it means you looked at blatant, intentional unfairness and said, “Yeah, I’m okay with cheating as long as my side benefits.” That’s not nuance. That’s not realism. That’s moral rot. You’re not protecting kids—you’re protecting your ego, your win-loss record, or your Saturday bragging rights. And the real kicker? Everyone knows. Coaches know. Officials know. Other parents know. The kids know. Those wins come with an asterisk so big it might as well be tattooed on the bracket. So congratulations—you “won,” and everyone silently filed you under fraud. If you need to make a teenager older just to feel successful in a middle school or high school sport, you didn’t build a champion. You built a lie—and then taught a kid to stand on it.

By definition, it isn't cheating if there isn't a rule against it. There are age rules of who can or can't compete, to which they've abided. But regardless of that, is it any different than weight cutting? Wouldn't someone who figured out how to cut weight really well, then rehydrate and be much bigger than their opponent be pushing the same type of issue? How unfair that is then to their much smaller opponent... At some point, just get over it. We've heard this argued so many damn times from you and a couple others. We understand you don't like it. It happened. Root against him and every other person that grey-shirts anywhere from middle school through college.

LOL there is no steroid testing in high school either, so by your logic, that isn't cheating either? you are a fool. You know why there aren't rules against it? The cheaters are always a little bit ahead of the rules makers. Nobody in their right mind thought people would be scummy enough to age cheat so there isn't a rule against it. There isn't a rule against drugging your opponent before the match either, so is that okay with you too? If you are any indication of the unethical little brother inferiority complex that permeates the VTech fan base, you toothless bums have found your perfect hero in age cheater bassett.
HokieDave87 Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Bo is fitting in great at VT for all who care so deeply about the kid. When he comes down to train at the RTC he usually stays off campus at Caleb's place. I don't believe VT pays for gas but he is allowed and comes down frequently. Along with the kids, Bill and Karissa fit in great with the other parents and staff, don't overstep at all, and are a great addition to the VT family. Not sure I'll get to see them again for a while depending on PIAA postseason schedule but the interactions I've had with them are always great. I've been around wrestling for 30+ years. I've seen BAD parents, kids, entire families. People who have a grudge against the Bassett's are laughable in every way.

If everybody knows but hates it then you'd think a rule would've been implemented by now (ftr, there IS an age rule in place, and neither bo nor melvin are in violation of it). This is why I love going at you. You're so quick to contradict yourself. If Bo Bassett doesn't ever do anymore than AA two times I will delete my whole ass account.....WrestlingRash sucks

A student shall be ineligible for interscholastic athletic competition upon attaining the age of nineteen years, with the following exception: If the age of 19 is attained on or after July 1, the student is eligible, age-wise, to compete through that school year. Since he turned 19 after his senior year had begun, he was in compliance with the rule. Also, for extra credit, you said this 17 minutes ago, WrestlingRash said: LOL there is no steroid testing in high school either, so by your logic, that isn't cheating either? you are a fool. You know why there aren't rules against it? The cheaters are always a little bit ahead of the rules makers. Page 49 PENNSYLVANIA LAW PROVISIONS AFFECTING ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY OF STUDENTS USING ANABOLIC STEROIDS Pennsylvania Act 1989-93 requires the School Board in every Pennsylvania school district to prescribe, adopt, and enforce rules and regulations to prohibit the use of anabolic steroids, except for a valid medical purpose, by any student involved in school-related athletics. The Act also requires the School Board to prescribe the following minimum penalties for any student found in violation of the rules and regulations adopted by the School Board: 1. For a first violation, suspension from school athletics for the remainder of the season. 2. For a second violation, suspension from school athletics for the remainder of the season and for the following season. 3. For a third violation, permanent suspension from school athletics. A student who has been suspended for violation of the School Board regulations shall not be eligible to resume participation in school athletics unless there has been a medical determination that no residual evidence of steroids exists. The penalties which the law requires School Boards to adopt are minimum penalties. More severe penalties may be adopted by individual school districts, and the actual penalties may therefore vary from school district to school district. So, yet again, you're wrong. There's rules for both of these instances. Said it before, and will again im sure, do us all a favor and delete your account. "Age cheating" is why the India national team is a threat at cadets but not at the senior level. Bo medaling twice at Age-level worlds and legally competing in PIAA's is not "age cheating" Again, why does nobody else get hate for this either? You just hate the Bassett's because they're good at wrestling.
