Haven't seen him choose down yet...

Interested to see how Seidel handles those front head positions, Ortega seems to pressure in super hard when he looks to run corner and you either give it up or try to square and handle his throw bye.

If I hadn't watched Seidel's matches and saw Ortega's, I wouldn't give Seidel a chance...

Seidel is PA's all time leader in wins and would have easily won a 4th title if he didn't intentionally go the same weight as Jax Forrest, losing 7-1 in the finals.

He's a bad dude.

Seidel looks great.

Ohio State's Maddox Shaw just lost in OT to Andre Gonzales. He wrestled for Ohio St. a couple of seasons but couldn't consistently crack the starting lineup. 149 looking like a larger question mark now heading into the future.

Honestly, some days it's a no.  Went on a trip with a student of mine to MSU last spring and Darius Marines just rolled me right up.  Got high hopes for that kid.  Mind you, at the time he had a solid 30lbs on me and was obviously fit.

I watch the kids wrestling HWT today and think to myself "I'd do really well against most of those kids" (let's face it, most HWTs suck)...then the rest of my thought "for about a minute or so, then it's welcome to Gasville".  Maybe Heartattack Boulevard.

Interesting statement on FRL pyles said that word from the v-tech camp is that Seidel is clearly the best guy which is saying something because Campbell has looked like a guy who could sneak on the podium. He also mentioned that Seidel may not be long for 133 which sucks a bit for them because of the logjam they will have 141-157.

If Seidel gets the starting spot at 133 (which I think is likely) he can shirt next year when Bo starts at 141. Campbell will likely challenge Crook at 141 this season if Seidel does get the nod at 133. Campbell has the frame to wrestle at 141 not sure about the strength though.

Whisenhunt listed as M-For to Ortega, but then wrestles and loses in the consolation bracket.  I thought that a MFF ends your tournament.  What am I missing?  Did he step on the mat and then forfeit (thus an Injury Forfeit) and it is just listed incorrectly?

He did step on the mat before the non-match.  I was confused

Probably the upset of the tournament.  Remy Cotton (Rutgers 197) derails the Jude Correa hype train 3-1.

Someone jumped the gun with him being the next Wade Schalles.

I think if there intent was to shirt him next year they may have just had him go right off the bat this year but I could be wrong.

He has been injured, hand I believe that held him out until now

Barbosa (Rutgers) put in on Mulvaney (Bucknell) pretty good in the other 165 semi.   First Rutgers wrestler to look good this entire tourney.

you must not watch much... Rutgers has 4 guys in finals
