Black Knight:
Nate Desmond vs Luke Lilledahl (former teammates, Desmond has always been very elite among the high school ranks and has some really close losses to really elite guys on the senior level.)

TK Davis vs Marcus blaze: TK Davis screams "Iowa" next year to me. He has a win over Braxton Brown this year and beat shawyver last year as well as Blake Boarman twice. Very athletic and twitchy I think it'll be Marcus's first real test this year.

SVN vs Connor pierce: I think this is a sneaky close match. I am a big Connor pierce fan he was a very tough PA kid coming out of high school but has gotten exponentially better at PSU. He screams David evans/Barroclaugh to me.

PJ duke vs Joe Sealey: I'm interested to see if familiarity allows Joe to keep this one close. Our first look at PJ in folk against a high level guy probably since his junior year of high school.

Levi Haines vs Will Henckel: This is a weight PSU will be looking to fill next year and while I am very confident Will is going to be an AA threat right away this will give us a better idea if thats more of a 6-r12 guy or someone who's looking to push high up the podium.

Rocco vs Asher cunningham: For the guys that watch mostly college, Asher Cunningham is a treat to watch. He wrestles a very unassuming style his movement looks a little clunky and unassuming but he is incredibly good in the positions he wants to be in and suffocating on top.

Iowa Vs Pitt
PK vs Luca Augustine: Augustine has gotten better year over year to me and while I am not calling an upset here I think after this match we may be looking at Augustine as an AA contender.

Endene vs Stout: the Endene hype is very high right now but my prediction is that it comes crashing down here. I think Stout is going to push fro top 4 on the podium this year.

Keystone classic:
Campbell vs Shawyver: Campbell has been a bit of a revelation this year as I and I think many others assumed Seidel would be the guy. I think he is going to pull off the upset here and get himself in that top 8 ranking.

Noah Ninninger vs Cross Wasilewski: Ninnigers best win of his young career has come up at 157lbs against Jackson Arrington. I think he is going to be a big part of techs future likely sitting next year when Henson comes back and then slotting back in in 2028.

Oklahoma state vs Arizona State
Ronnie Ramirez vs Kyler Larkin: Two freshman looking to inject themselves into the AA conversation. This match is almost a lock to have a ton of leg passes and high volume leg attacks.

Sergio vega vs Manville: Vega may be the story of the season so far but its worth noting Manville beat him a couple months ago in Freestyle. This could be a good reference point to why freestyle results do not always translate to folkstyle results or Manville could put the country on notice.

Kaleb Larkin vs Casey swiderski: Swiderski is slumping right now and Larkin majored lachlan at nat duals. If Casey is not switched on for 7 minutes I think this match could get ugly.

Yeah, should be a great weekend. Looking forward to seeing Endene continue improving. He really impressed me during national duals last week, he seriously upped is game from his very lame first match this year. I think he's got a good chance of beating Stout. Hoping that Swiderski can turn it around, he's had a rough start to the season.

Lots of great matchups once again this weekend. The next time we see a Desmond/Lilledahl or Sealey/ Duke match some of these guys might be in new singlets.

I didn't say it, but I was thinking to myself "I wonder how many guys hit the transfer portal after the Black Knight Invitational?". If they do I hope they transfer to OU!

PSU has twice as much money to keep them there.

If by chance someone does enter the transfer portal after this weekend, would they be eligible to wrestle next semester for their new team? I can't keep up with all these rule changes and updates.

I had just seen in the transfer portal thread regarding Carter Young- So it appears the answer to my question would be YES.

Augustine had PK on the ropes in the blood round last year. Was winning with less than a minute of the match left IIRC.

I think Stout runs through Endene.

If they are graduated from the school and have only wrestled unattached this year-yes

So if Sealey decided to suddenly transfer before Dec. 31st he would not be eligible to wrestle 2nd semester if I interpret this correct.....

100% No as he competed for PSU in a dual already this year. Unless the rules have changed again

Yes I heard the same thing!  I also wouldn't be surprised if Brayden Thompson follows as well.

I know a fancy little spot in western VA that would love to take on another 184 lb kid to compete immediately!

Well based on what I just learned, I wouldn't think Thompson would transfer right now as he wouldn't be able to wrestle this season being a RSSO.

Not sure how many graduated/grad students besides Young would transfer mid-season that want to change teams.

Stout can rack up points fast. He has majored/tech some good opponents such as a TF win over McDanel this year.

Where Penn St has a clear #1 guy like LL, SVN, MM, Haines etc. history suggests no intra squad match. True Fr and anyplace where a wrestleoff makes sense then yes, a wrestleoff will probably happen

I just want to know how much of a reminder we will get from Thumper before the ASU and Ok State match starts. Will it be 2 hours, 1 hour or will it be multiple reminders?
