His triking was decent but so still don’t understand how wrestlers want to stand and bang for so long.  Ground and pound is the better option.

The guy was a BJJ black belt and most of his wins are submission. His only path to victory was tapping Bo so why take the risk

Ask Ben Askren and Henry Cejudo: UFC doesn't pay for winners it pays for highlight reels. Elite folk wrestlers would win on points 99% of matches if they could but "only controlling" your opponent is considered boring. Leads into another debate...

I saw a different clip saying they thought Bo did actually use his wrestling earlier.  But like the @Antitroll2828 said seems it’s probably a good idea avoid wrestling with BJJ dudes

IDK, Usman bored us to death during his rise, Makhachev has been boring us UFC fans to death, and Khamzat with a snooze fest in his last fight and Dana defended it.

lol, I don’t even watch much UFC but I thought of him after that comment too.  There was one fight (at least that I saw) where he just kept stepping on the other guy’s foot the entire time

He did that to Tyrone Woodley ( Missouri wrestling) in a title fight

He did in the first round but that’s because his opponent rushed in trying to take Bo down and Bo ended suplexing the guy and ground and pounding him for awhile but that was more of reaction type situation. Bo gameplan clearly was to dominate with his hands

Wow.  Nice add to his abilities.  That was impressive.  Any sign of kicking ability in past?

No a few fights ago he tried to head kick someone and completly whiffed and fell down . His technique is 100x better than it was . After he got TKOed last fight he switched his training and went down to Florida for his training camp and trained a lot with Jorge Masvidal (guy who knocked out Askren in 5 seconds). That seemed to do wonders for his stand up
