The rich can move anywhere they want and they have houses elsewhere already.

They can choose to leave NYC and I suspect they will. It's the people that are stuck there that will suffer.

I suspect businesses will move to more tax friendly states as well.

Big Businesses and people are already leaving blue tax cities.   I’ve posted posts across nyc Chicago LA etc many times on here.

It is not a flaw since apparently you did not read my post that started this thread, "Congrats to the left, I won't say Dems, because not all Dems are far left." I guess I am confused as to why you would mischaracterize my position?

Pelosi, Schumer, and Jeffries are far from moderate, sorry. Newsome is the perfect example of failed socialist policies. So is Chicago. Mamdani wants to go even further. I guess we will see. That is how the system works.

Sorry, missed that part of your post.

But then you post three of the most corporate-backed politicians in the country, regardless of party, as being "not moderate," so while you did acknowledge that reality, you don't seem to understand how to ID the actual examples. If those 3 aren't "moderate," who ARE the dem moderates?

Can you give some examples of Newsome's failed "socialist" policies? He's also heavily backed by corporate money. What about Chicago? (Amazing city btw. Was just there a few weeks ago. In my experience, the people who cite Chicago as a disaster city, have never actually been there. It rocks.)

These type of people are unhappy with Chicago

The two groups who can afford this stuff are the rich and the poor.  The middle class gets crushed.

That's a great point. That's probably why the Democrats typically prioritize cutting middle class taxes.

It's a city of millions of people. Of course there is crime. Do you think crime doesn't exist in the suburbs or rural areas?

Also, how is this the result of socialism? As many point out all the time on this forum, historically, socialist governments have no problem throwing people in jail lol.

No where near the same extent.  It does not.

Do you think that has anything to do with the fact that millions of people live right on top of each other rather than being spread out over large areas of land?

How does one go about changing urban culture? The people that grow up in it don't know any better until it's too late most of the time.

I’ve  Made my thoughts about the lack of policing and lack of prosecuting of crime in Chicago many times.

my fav two examples are when they let an illegal alien out on the streets after decapitating a us citizen and stuffing the body in a 50 gallon drum and keeping the can and body in the yard.

This one  even May be better.  Electing to not prosecute gang bangers in a gun fight on public streets because they were “mutual combatants”.    Cause they didn’t hit any civilians.   I believe they wounded each other but am to lazy to look it up.

don’t pretend you know what it’s like to live here.   I live in a nice neighborhood in Chicago.

I’ve been robbed.
I was jumped by the 2-6.  Several of my buddies were hospitalized with broken bones from the pipes they used.
my car has been stolen 4 times.
my car window was shot out overnight.

The fact that you missed the first thing I said is interesting. Again, you make assumptions. First, I have spent a significant amount of time in Chicago; in fact, one of my daughters is being recruited by NW, so we have been there at least 6 times in the past 6 months. I was also born and raised in MN.  Moderates for me would be Gluesenkamp-Perez, Slotkin, and Peters. Some would say Fetterman, but I am not sure where he falls, to be honest; your examples of moderates are well known as classic left-of-center liberals. Although they are not Progressives like the "Squad," they are not moderates either.

So, Pelosi: here are a few of her positions that put her outside the "Moderate" realm. Her entire position on Climate Change and her advocacy for the Inflation Reduction Act's climate provisions, and she is pro-universal HC. Jefferies supported the defund police movement and was very vocal about his redistribution of wealth agenda. Shumer, take your pick, but allowing illegal immigration, broad debt cancellation, etc...

That’s to keep your whining ass shut. You want off this ranch, you got it. I’ll drive your ass to the train station myself.

Dude - There are 150,000 gang bangers in Chicago.    Compare that to about 13,000 national guard in the whole state.

Most if the poor live in the cities. Get rid of poverty and you'll get rid of crime.

I’m sure you have a solution to this age old problem.  Let’s let citizens suffer in crime ridden cities while you ponder a solution boss.

are you in favor of not prosecuting gang bangerd when they shoot each other?
