Northwestern assistant coach hire?

Did they just not hire anybody? How can this be? 
 

Are they giving the other two assistants 50% of what would’ve been that third assistant’s salary because they’re going to be spread thinner without them?

 What does this say about the school, the staff, or the administrative support that they couldn’t find someone even passably qualified to camp out in a position for a year? There has to be some recent graduate they can put through the meat grinder for the benefit of their program for one year.

Their field hockey team is the defending national championship.  Hopefully,  they won't be dropped....

One thing is for sure - Storniolo has made chicken salad out of chicken youknowwhat countless times at Northwestern, the dude has been given LOTS of bad hands. This is a new era, but he has proven to overcome coaching and administrative issues time and time again - so I think he gets the benefit of the doubt.

Having Michigan (last year) and Mizzou (this year) raiding their roster for the best guys doesn't help.
