I'm so very thankful that all 50,000+ runners in this year's Chicago Marathon were miraculously able to avoid all the violent riots and lawlessness that I've read about in the war-torn city.

They take their tourist $ seriously.  You don’t get to see real Chicago when running the marathon.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least 18 people have been shot, six fatally, in shootings across Chicago this weekend, police said.

This weekend's gun violence comes after at least 58 people were shot, eight fatally, across the city over the long Labor Day holiday weekend last week.

It's amazing these folks can run 26 miles and avoid the real Chicago.

It's almost as if the violence is concentrated in a few areas. I don't believe it myself. I know it's burning constantly. No one goes outside anymore. Damn shame.

Come check it out.  Not many murders if any occur on the mag mile boss.   But I think you know that.

the gang bangers ravage this city.  Including tons of illegal cartel based gang bangers.  That’s where the murders are statistically

Are you saying it's a specific location, related to drug turf wars, and not the whole city? That would be good news. It means Chicago isn't as dangerous as the main stream media wants you to believe.

Perhaps there should be a focus on those areas instead of shopping districts. That might be a better use of resources, per DOGE. I don't think anyone would be against rounding up cartel members. Let's do it.

So why is the mayor not doing anything about "the parts of the city that are dangerous" if all is under control?   It apparently is under control only if you consider 100 shootings adn 20 people dead in two weeks as controlled.

He blames it on the guns.  Chicago is like a gun free zone.  He says these violent guns come from areas outside the city or state that have lower violence rates than Chicago.  But when they get to Chicago they get violent.  Smart guy, used to be a teacher.
