Because I’m sure you have no problem with the government running the biggest socialist healthcare program aka tri care or should the military have to have only private insurance as well? Government healthcare sucks.  Go visit a VA they’re crapholes compared to a regular hospital.

You realize you don’t need to go to the va to use tri care correct? Active duty retired spouses and dependents get tri care to use at any medical facilities for Pennies on the dollar. People go to the VA because they don’t have tri care. My  father is retired usmc and has tri care, never steps foot onto a va since they are underfunded

No tri care is its own insurance billed by tri care not the VA that’s why not only veterans but dependents have it. I had appendicitis when i was 19, had it done at private hospital, used my tri care and was not charged for my surgery

I see. I assumed everyone always bitched about it because it was still run through the VA.

You said up above that the VA is for people that don't have tri care. So am I correct in saying that if you only served 4 years you wouldn't have tri care after you were done? That is someone that either gets private insurance or has to go to the VA?

Yes you are correct, everyone who didn’t retire only gets access to Va which is shame it’s not better

This is interesting. There is talk about firing (permanently) federal workers, simply as retribution against the Democrats, and the callous and dumb wingers on here are mocking the shutdown. These people have families. 

This is why I'm gonna love the payback in 2029. Looking for maximum pain for the wingers!!!!!

This is distasteful to hold it over the dems heads that if they shut down the government, reps will layoff the work force.

There is no need to deflect.  Just say it.  We want a small government and will use this as an opportunity to downsize.
