So our garden has put out a decent amount of Jalapenos this year.   One plant, quite a few peppers.   Some have turned red.   We made salsa which turned out more like pico de gallo and it was pretty good.   I de-seeded and it wasn't that hot.   I'm going to make some more this weekend I hope and I will eave one whole to bring up the heat.

Habaneros were late bloomers.   We have a lot but they are not maturing very fast.   Very small mostly.   Some are orangish but most are small and green.   It's too bad too, my wife makes a habanero jelly that is pretty good.   The house is dangerous when she is making that.   Use of gloves is a must.   Are green habaneros good to use or do they really need to turn orange before consuming?

While they have less heat when green they pickle real nicely and even have a bit of smokiness.

Drowning in data, but thirsting for knowledge

Ooooooooh, that sounds promising.   We have a lot of them that are still green and small.   Pickled habaneros.   Never thought of that.   Thanks!

Sounds good.  Hmmmm.  I pickle red onions I love those on tacos or pulled pork.
