What an idiot. Continuing to simply look through your myopic lense of the world. Some people simply like physicality and competing and being talented also helps. You either like wrestling or you don't. That and physical talent determine how far you go. If you don't like wrestling, you won't work hard at it because there are A LOT of things in life more important.

Personally, I don't think wingers work very hard at all. All they do is complain, don't want to seek higher education and blame minorities for their lack of success.

Kirk did exactly this actually. Didn't get into West Point and instead of going to another college - which if he was actually qualified for West Point, he would have gotten into most schools - he befriended a wealthy 70-year old conservative activist who bankrolled his early career, which he first built by claiming that "He would have gone to West Point, but an unqualified minority took his spot" with zero evidence (and if you know anything about how college admissions work, you know this is ludicrous).

It's actually not even clear Kirk ever officially applied to college or was that interested in attending. He was already starting his career as an online right wing influencer during high school.

You clearly have me confused with someone else.  Meanwhile, you are loving everything associated with this death...

Yeah, I "love" that the government is moving to use his death as an excuse to crack down on left-wing political speech. I "love" that the president got on TV and demonized the left as murderous criminals. His death is a disaster.

I don't think he was a good person, but his death is a tragedy in a macro-political sense, but also for his family. By all accounts he was a great husband and father, so I feel very deeply for his wife and children. The videos of him speaking of his daughter and of her running to him are very tough to watch. People are complicated.

The game referenced in the engravings, Helldivers 2, is in the mold of Starship Troopers. The underlying joke or trap of the game is to see if players notice that they are enthusiastically fighting for a fascist regime - in the same way that the "good guys" in Starship Troopers are explicitly portrayed as Nazis.

Like most of what we've found out, the shooter is engaging with heavily ironic internet content that is very typical of both far-right and left internet subcultures that congregate on platforms like Discord.

https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/the-united-nations-asked-helldivers-2-studio-arrowhead-if-itd-give-a-talk-on-psychological-manipulation-could-we-brainwash-an-entire-community-to-fight-for-a-fascist-state-would-we-be-okay-with-that-turns-out-yeah/

Of course, you might start to wonder how fun it’ll actually be once you consider the implications of dressing players up in fascist uniforms and calling them to arms under the banner of an imperial state to die, die, and die again in the name of democracy. "We asked ourselves, could we brainwash an entire community to fight for a fascist state? Would they? Would we be okay with that? And turns out, yeah, actually," Pilestedt said in his talk.

You will not see me upset and arguing nuance if you take a jab at conservatives as gun toting cowboys fat on bbq and country music.

Going to the absurd end of values... the left version of wrestling requires consent checks, diversity audits, biodegradable kneepads, tie-dyed singlets, and participation ribbons.  On the right, its a free for all that stops when the loser cries for mercy or goes unconscious.

You can't handle a jab that doesn't even get into the absurdities... it just stays surface level.

But but but...

I'm curious.  Are you interested in wrestling at all, or are you just here to get in arguments and pretend to be morally superior?

I love wrestling. I keep my politics and my wrestling posting separate.

The more information that comes out, the more surprised I am about this guy. The right desperately wanted this to be some left wing transgender person, and it turned out to be just some random white guy from conservative rural Utah. Maybe that's not weird? I still think there's something that doesn't add up here.

Have you ever posted on these wrestling forums? When was the last time?

I post quite a bit on other forums and am fairly well-known. Haven't posted on this one in a long time.

I don't usually look at wrestling forums on here tbh. This is kind of sequestered as my politics outlet - which is good because I don't drain my energy over this stuff in my actual life.

Where do you come up with this garbage? Did you read any of the posts about stereotypes at all?

Internet/Gaming culture. He was an internet troll who took the trolling into the real world. Trying to understand his motivation logically will melt your brain the same way the internet likely melted his.

Sounds like Kirk being a real life troll met a trolling counterpart of his. It sounds wonky that he wasn't some kind of left wing activist type, like a bunch of people here hoped, it sounds just plain bizarre.

Kind of like when Frank Cali got murdered in his driveway by a QAnon supporter. You can't really make sense of it.

You seem to know quite a bit about "trolls."🤔

That's the case for the vast majority of these cases.

Trying to kill a famous political person is irrational. We shouldn't expect their reasons for doing so to be rational either.

Now there’s a stereotype.  And a stupid one at that.  I worked really hard to get where I ended up.  Did the higher education thing and never once complained about paying for it all myself.  I’ll stack my success up against most liberals and come out on top. Especially yours.

Woke is a Joke
