It was a lot different.  DC was a much more dangerous place in 1990 than it is today.  There were 472 murders in DC in 1990 compared with only 187 in 2024.  The murder rate improved even more significantly given that in 1990 there were only 607,000 residents in the district compared with 702,000 in 2024. 

But it’s ~2-3x higher per 100k (2023/2024) compared to as recent as 2013.

back in Ancient Rome…...  Way more people were killed per capita than this year.   Therefore we shouldn’t address murder rates any more.     Let’s sent 49 gaziggity billion dollars to Uganda for trans people awareness.

Trump hates this country and what it was founded upon. He would have joined the British during the revolutionary war. He's a chicken who avoided military service when it would have mattered, and pretends like he actually cares about service members now. To him it's all about whether he can gain something from it. That's all that drives him. Every decision he makes is based on that. If tomorrow being pro immigrant would gain him something, he'd be all for it.

Do you think Trump, with his education, would have been sent to a line infantry unit, or something similar?  Would have even been sent overseas?  “when it would have mattered”.  Dimocrats cut off the funding for the war and Carter pardoned the draft dodgers.  JFK ordered all Americans out of Vietnam by 1965.  When would it have mattered?

When you study the military operations he’s done, it’s obvious that he’s competent and absolutely has respect for the troops.  The Iran op, Syria, the Waggoner group, devastating to the enemy and minimal to no casualties for our guys.  He relates to them and they like him.  If he’d been in charge of the Vietnam war there’d probably have been about 56k+ fewer American deaths.
