He is involved in multiple law enforcement agencies. He is a sworn deputy sheriff in Fredrick County, Virginia. He is also a reserve police officer in Pocatello, Idaho. He goes through the same training as the other policeman.

If you people don't think someone that used to be an actor on TBS parading around as a sheriff and police officer in states on opposite sides of the country isnt a total nut case I don't know what to tell you...

Reserve officers do not undergo the same training.

You mean like politicians forcing technology  companies to censor tweets or fb posts that don’t agree with their ideology.  I’m not sure what you’re getting at here be more specific boss.

Well, this subject sure has triggered some some folks.

At this point I say who cares, all kinds of folk get into law enforcement.  Educated non educated.   He’ll be following orders (or publicity stuff) not setting policy.  

His degree in history with emphasis in development in motion pictures is pretty much irrelevant.  Let him roll, just like anyone else.

I think it's going to be OK. I think you will find he has plenty of real training to do the job of a police officer.

This is a good piece on the situtaion.  Doesn't look like he would be doing any raids or anything needing any kind of high level experience.  I'd bet the 'community outreach' piece will be his biggest role...

Given we are not a fascist country and do not have a fascist leader.   I am not fully understanding your outrage here.

The topic of the thread was you having issue with the qualifications of someone that wants to be an ICE agent. And you furthered your issues with ICE by having a problem with experienced law-enforcement and military professionals possibly joining a cause they might get behind. Whether or not ICE’s mission is fair to everyone is another topic.
