ANY reduction of property taxes, even if it's only for a "special class" of people, will jack up property values farther out of reach of ordinary people that actually have to work for a living.

42.5% of property taxes in cook county don’t go to public schools.      There are almost 100,000 less  students since 2010 and property taxes are up 62% (since 2010).  Where is all this $$$ going.
