On the note of Hamiti - he's only 21 and done with college. Did he screw himself by not taking the usual wrestler route, a la the majority of the other successful phenoms? How many NCAA titles would he have if he would've taken the Bo Bassett route and been a freshman this year?

Maybe he'll have a better/longer freestyle career because he's out at 21?

And maybe he'd have won it this year and then gotten bogged down with injuries or a savant like...Lockett/Duke if he had 2 more years. Hard to say.

He was REAL close several times. A poorly Wrestled Match vs Mesenbrink from being in the finals in '24, but he won it and he seems to me to be a GREAT fit at 74KG.

Plus he still looks like a beanpole out there, he's got plenty of room to move up to the next weight class.

Well...79KG would probably be an even better weight for him, but... we only have space for 6 Olympic weight classes because we have to have flip cup and and...wheelbarrow racing in the Olympics.
