This is what is really terrifying.

This is why they TEACH Smoot-Hawley in History classes, Econ classes at all levels.

Sure Jimmy. Trump...literally said Countries aren't afraid of the "threat" of tariffs, then the White House said, 'well, they have so many sanctions.'

But sure...it's really just because he's going to end that War....that he said The Ukraine Stated.

I swear to Christ, everytime I hit "show me this post," from my ignored list, I'm left wondering...why did i do that? this guy is so clueless, he's just repeating what he sees in the Twitter replies right now. Not one original thought bouncing around up there...

It's much nicer to not have to read THAT particular brand of clueless nonsense.

"leaders in AI????????? OMG."

That...that was when I realized there was likely not much texture to his grey matter.

I do actually think politicians OFTEN try and do the right thing. I think Bush did with the Economy. I think Clinton, Bush Sr, Reagan, Clinton...Biden. I really do think they GENERALLY tried to do the right thing. Always corruption. There were no bid deals given to Haliburton under Jr that were obviously corrupt.

When they bailed out the banking industry though, reportedly, he wanted to give the banks that money, but he wanted to do it in a way that it would cover those mortgages that had been impacted and pay off the difference of the people who were upside down. So you'd be taking the bad debt off the book, you'd assure the American people they had their money secure and help prevent a depression.

Obama answered(well, David Axelrod) "there is only one president at a time."

Obama wanted to bail out the auto industry and he wanted to cut the deficit(they all do). But he had that freeze in spending.

Bush Sr wanted to raise taxes to cut the deficit.

I think they generally try to do their best. I just think this particular guy is different. He's more about his own ego(to think you can lead the US..they all do, but him in particular) and he's just not smart. 6 bankruptcies including casinos.

It's not just that, but he lied when he implemented them. Claiming these were "reciprocal." Absolutely baffling how Jimmy can say "when other Countries swing back their harmless." Jesus Christ...how many times has it been pointed out THAT was why it'd get so bad...

But the way he just made up numbers. Last time when he had qualified people in place to TRY and reign him in...that was at least something, but when 40 of the 44 members of your past cabinet don't endorse you...that's telling.

Who does he have to be to call them out?

He talked about how he was going to bring back tariffs and then when Harris said his plan was to use blanket 20% tariffs, he...very clearly called HER a liar.

He's put MORE than 20% tariffs on our largest trade partners.

For someone that says they were trying to be facetious and didn’t hit the mark shows how little you know about what it means.

If Trump surrounds himself with nearly anybody then he's surrounding himself with smarter people because he's a low IQ simpleton.

Politicians and idiot economists are why we’re $36 trillion in debt.  But hey let’s just keep, doing the same old same old.

Yeah, 8 Trillion of that was Trump's last 4 years in office.

But hey, lets just do the one thing proven to contract our GDP the most! That'll work!

If you want to cut the debt meaningfully here it is. THREE opions

1-Military spending

2-Medicare

3-Social Security

Pick one. This ticky tac nonsense where Dog says they found 500M and then count it 3 times and it turns out it's a contract that has already been paid out and it was over 10 years, that's not gonna do it. Even if he CAN cut a Trillion dollars, a number that's laughable, but lets say they find a way to hit his goal.

How much do you think THIS will add o the debt?

By the way, who do you think will EVER make these Iphones or shoes?

Yeah...cool. That's a great reason for why Russia was left off the list of tariffs. "They're negotiating."

And any reason for why an Island of Penguins were put on it?

It's clear this entire topic is really over your head. You're not able to even attempt to make a coherent argument.

So you don’t think Russia will get any tariffs if they don’t agree to a cease fire/stoppage.  I absolutely think Trump will hit Russia soon.   We’ll see who’s right.

Putin is his daddy so no. He loves dictators. That's his dream. Also, Putin hasn't done anything asked of him (he rolled Trump every time) and so if he has no tatiffs by now, he probably won't. At least not significant.

Actually trump is Putin daddy.  Four years of Trump and Putin goes no where.  Biden takes office and Putin waltzes his way on over.  Even Zelensky is on record saying Putin is afraid of Trump.

Lol. That's why he "agreed l" to trumps ceasefire and then broke it the next day. He's rolled trump over and over and isn't conceding anything in Ukraine. Trump meanwhile does every thing he asked.
