Everyone using this to justify Penn State's absence is just backfilling reasoning to make it seem better that Cael is skipping out.

Cael flatly dismissed the national duals idea when it was first being discussed. It had nothing to do with the timing of it.

You assume it had nothing to do with timing, which is actually wild if you think about it.

Here are the things we do know:

- Cael had long understood that a National Duals of any time would need to happen before the 1st of the year

- Cael has long put a priority on MFS Worlds U20, U23, and Seniors over early season events.

- Cael has long put a priority on NCAAs over B1Gs.

- Cael is big on HEW prevention, which would mean resr after each of some sort.

Timing lines up to be that many of his heavy hitters would be missing National Duals.  It is a legitimate claim, not an excuse.

"I know actually nothing.  It isn't even conjecture at this point." - me

What we do know are Cael's actual words when asked about a national duals. So much effort to try to make his avoidance more palatable
