Does anyone actually believe this dude has all this data?

I’m not saying it’s impossible to have this data, I just think if this dude had it (and knew how to analyze it) he’d be rich and not shilling doomsday prepper supplies.  Of course Musk has reposted this assuming it is true.

This data is definitely for sale. It is a big business selling alternative data sets to hedge funds. It used to be things like counting cars in parking lots to get a jump on earnings announcements, but now a lot of it is cell phone tracking data. I am not sure to what extent turning off location services on your phone affects the data or not. Just because your tracking is turned off does not mean somewhere it is know what cell towers your phone is hitting.

This seems impractical and there are many questionable statements that warrant questioning.  It is possible and if someone had the access and finances to do it, surprisingly it appears Tony is the right guy for the job.

Yes I have seen that post and am skeptical he has the “digital ID of every mobile device/computer in the US” and  publicly broadcasting alleged analyses from it on x.

Pretty spot on.  About anything digital is tracked and sold.   They can uniquely identify a device (phone iPad laptop whatever) and get it down to who is typically operating it.  Big brother has far more info than you think.   I work for an analytics software company and have had the hedge funds present to us high level what they with analytics and I was pretty astounded.
