Yes, I know I’m playing into your trap, but recruiting is certainly part of coaching. So you can’t say “best coach overall”. We all know that’s Cael right now. If you want to make the claim that he’s best at developing his own talent, now that’s a feasible claim that you can use to get the Penn State fan going. You’re welcome.

Didn’t get the most out of Chad Red. Not necessarily Mannings fault tho

Manning and nebraska had an outstanding year and an amazing tournament.  

Because people like doug schwab, lee roper, and neil erisman exist, I’m not giving manning that crown though.

Antrell taylor had a fantastic tournament, lovett and hardy are both 35.

Agreed hands down the best coaching staff. Adding james green has helped as well. The development in these guys with little $$ involved is special

I think the best coach is the guy who beat him by 60.

DT had one season to coach up two guys to beat two generational talents in the finals; one of which was a Oly Gold medalist. 
 

With stating that, it frustrates me how little O’Toole got any big admiration going into the Tourney. 2x champ, almost 3? Dang…. They treated him as an afterthought. 
 

Manning had a great season, but Taylor’s Cowboys opened the eyes to every recruit. From 10th to 3rd. Insane turnaround.

Watching his facial expressions and posture while his kids were out there spoke volumes of just how much he loves and wants the best for his team. I bet this morning he woke up with the same smile he went to bed with!

Nebraska/Manning in a perfection position for him to step back.  Great thing going on the up trend, can leave it in two great sets of hands, two guys that are very much culture guys, along with being younger guys who can help usher in to Nebraska this new age of NCAA wrestling. 
 

Step back when you’re at the top of building the best wrestling program the school has ever had.
