What's the scoop on Ipsos polls?

They have a Trump blind spot in election polls.  Why?  Who knows?  They state they weigh respondents to match the census while they do not publish the raw numbers across demographics and party lines.

I’m asking because I don’t know anyone local who’s losing sleep over Russia or Ukraine. Just got back from my annual fishing trip with high school buddies (all in our 40s) plus one’s dad, uncle, and their crew (70s)—a mix of Dems, Indies, and Repubs. All they want is peace; the rest is just noise. Inflation and costs? Yep they care. But the state of foreign countries? Nobody gives a damn. So if seven of us.  Real people, not poll stats, don’t care.  Why should I care what a C-grade pollster’s selling?

I agree that the economy is the biggest issue for voters. Plunging stock market, increasing prices, back and forth on tariffs  and mass layoffs not good for polling numbers. Moderates also don't like Elon Musk running the govt.

All the moderates I know are pumped about the transparency and cuts to spending.  There is a concern to where the mistakes are impactful and understanding to gov workers but they support it overall.

To you, a moderate is somebody that isn't quite as radically to the right as you are. Your red goggles are out of control.

The polls prove that moderates are losing support for orange diaper boy VERY fast.

Which president actually wore a diaper?

I believe in subsidizing college with taxpayer dollars.

I've voted Democrat before.

Only wingers think Elon is running the government.

Arguably, he is running the government at least as much as Trump is.

Thus the reason a lot of people reference Elon as "President Musk."

The HUGE difference between Musk and Trump is that:

  • Musk is actually doing things that he (and his team of tech misfits) invent, design, execute, and follow through on.
  • Trump has no idea what he's doing. He takes his direction from the wealthy billionaire donors he's taking money from and signs on whatever line he's been told to like a trained monkey. He understands none of it. At his advanced age, his brain is mush. Greed is all that registers with him. He defers to wealthy donors - and President Musk is one of the wealthiest. He makes promises that he doesn't follow up on, and lies on a daily basis. He's a feeble grifter.

Note that Putin (not Musk) is actually the wealthiest of his donors. We don't know exactly how much money is exchanged between them, or in what form is it is being transacted. It is done in the shadows.

But what we do know is that Putin personally controls all of Russia's wealth - no Congress or Judicial system in Russia to provide oversight. It's all at Putin's disposal. And there's much more wealth there than Musk's 400b.

It's no wonder Trump is little more than a puppet belonging to Putin, Musk, etc.

It certainly was a doozy.

Hopefully you learned a great deal from it.
